Usurp is an anonymous collective of European artists joining into a unique platform in order to spread their similar musical vision, flavouring IDM and Industrial sonorous experiments, without the need of labeling it.

Getting inspired from the renowned DJ Pete’s Wax Treatment parties, which always featured secret artists performing from behind the audience, the label aims to carry the listener into an unforeseen dimension, shifting the expectations of the modern club musical paradigms to the awareness of assimilating variegated sounds surrendering yourself to their unpredictable effects. 

Movement is caused by a mental predisposition to dance, and nowadays dancing means following certain common rhythmic sections and archetype musical patterns, getting used to them. Usurp wishes to accustom the crowd to dance through listening to non standard, melodically and structurally not common electronic music.

Benales is a DJ and producer known for his unique blend of raw, dark, and deep techno and house, with nods to Detroit influences. Based in France, he has been making waves in the underground techno scene since the late 90s. With an extensive vinyl collection and a talent for selecting tracks that resonate with crowds, Benales has become a respected DJ in Europe, regularly playing at top clubs such as Tresor, Rex Club, Radion or Le Sucre, and sharing the stage with renowned artists such as DVS1, Zadig, Surgeon, Steve Bicknell, Dj Pete, and James Ruskin.

Aside from his skills behind the decks, Benales is also a gifted music producer. He has released several EPs and remixes on acclaimed labels such as Sino (Technasia label), KEY Vinyl (Freddy K label), Mitsubasa, Analog Solutions, Knotweed, Diffuse Reality, and more. In addition, he is a signed artist on Construct Re-Form label, with several releases on the horizon, including a VA on K S R, CRF, Matterwave, and S.lab.

Benales' talent for music production has earned him international recognition, especially for his releases "Elements part 1 & part 2". His unique style and skills as a DJ and producer have cemented his status as a respected figure in the underground techno community, known for his powerful and unforgettable sets.
