Base Varlet's music is primarily performed, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Jamie Stacey at his home recording studio based in Tasmania, Australia. Collaborators have included but are not limited to Shawn Arnold (Teens), Mat Carey (Mutt Party), Paul Eggins, Josh Foley, and Jack Storay (Teens).

Josef Josef have been kicking about Tasmania for over a year now and already have a couple of big shows under their belt including 2013/2014 Falls Festival with the 2014 Junction Arts Festival to come. After their self-titled EP release in early 2013, the gulf that is musical exploration skewed their priorities, dabbling in a range of genres including jazz, hiphop, psych-rock, blues and indie-pop, they are yet to release their sonic bending album of 2014. Generally their performance jams will involve a selection of genres (often within the same song) and spot of improvisation.
