Harri soundtracked Move D’s wine bar last year in Ruffy’s Lab at Gottwood and given the time of year we thought it an ideal opportunity to ask Harri to put together an hour of meandering jazz records to ease us into the first few days of spring… and that he exactly what he has done.

Following our deep jazz reissue series we are proud to announce the release of Cossi Anatz (means "Comment ça va ? in french southern language - "How are you doing ?) 
This long awaited reissue is an overlooked french jazz album with a real singular sound mixing the North African, Arabic and Occitan music (traditional music from Southern France) with free/spiritual. Composed and partly recorded live by Michel Marre, one of the spearhead of L'Intercommunal Free Dance Orchestra (founded by François Tusques) with René Nan on drums (who also played with Marius Cultier), Jazz Afro-occitan is written on the cover and it's clearly the case when you put the needle on wax you instantly feel  that are quite obvious here, especially in the brass & percussions. 
Some brilliant tracks like the beautiful deep avant jazz Al Coltrane or the monster spiritual oriental jazz Aden Arabie with great Fender solo. One of my favorite track is Bourrée Du Céor a 8'm long deep modal jazz number with a raw live, almost rural sound !

London-based Polish label Lanquidity Records is proud to present “London / Theme De Yoyo”, the new EP by Wojtek Mazolewski.

Bassist, composer and a leading figure of the 21st century Polish jazz movement, Wojtek Mazolewski heads the Wojtek Mazolowski Quintet. His ability to present Jazz to younger listeners in the most unconventional of manners fuses seamlessly with a clear nod to the traditions established by the golden era of Polish Jazz. Mazolewski has played and recorded together with Pete Wareham, Dennis Gonzales, Tim Berne, John Zorn, Pete Kowald, Tomasz Stanko, Zbigniew Namyslowski, Tymon Tymanski, and Mikołaj Trzaska to name a few.
“London” is a three-piece suite composed by Wojtek Mazolewski. The idea behind this composition is to capture the impressions and vibe of one of the greatest city in the world. After recording Paris, Berlin and Bangkok, he decided to capture the energy of London. “Theme de Yoyo” was originally composed by members of the legendary Art Ensemble of Chicago. Wojtek Mazolewski Quintet delivered an original and unique interpretation of this very distinctive song.
