MÚSICA PARA BOLICHE takes us to Argentina. Along the journey, we will discover that Maradona is not the only thing we have in common with our cousins across the ocean.
Let’s dive into the 1980s Buenos Aires scene, a time straddling dictatorship and disco music, in search of dusty gems forgot-ten even in their homeland.
The EP contains four tracks spanning Italo, electro, and proto-house, carefully selected by Jack Bulgaro, restored, and nely edited by DJs from Italy and Argentina.

“No Cigar” is a track that didn’t make it onto 2023’s 5 Songs, which was, technically, five songs, so there wasn’t room. It’s a pokey, plonky bit of dance music from Shit Robot (aka Marcus Lambkin), made with Joe Goddard and Al Doyle at their RAE Studios in London.

It sounded… dubby. Like “what if Adrian Sherwood got his hands on this?” dubby. So we asked. And he said yes!

The b-side is classic Sherwood at the controls—a version that’s not fully exploded, but submerged, warped, a little demented. We’re honored and still hearing crazy new sounds every time we play it.

The “No Cigar” 12-inch is out July 25. Pre-order it now before you can’t.

Milton: Mizik Nou from “Doudou Créole 12” (IBO Production – IBO 8403) - Compiled on Digital Zandoli. Licensed by Heavenly Sweetness - Compiled by Digger's Digest & Nico Skliris. 

It is under this English-sounding pseudonym that Patrick Saint-Éloi and Jean-Claude Naimro, eminent members of the band Kassav’, made one of their finest West Indian boogie zouk numbers. Although this Mizik Nou, which benefited from the expert ear of producer Dominique Blanc-Francart and was released as an ultra-limited edition EP, is one of the most keenly sought discs by collectors of French funk, it was never properly marketed as a dance hit! This compilation ought to swiftly right that wrong.

Disque La Rayé (60's french west indies Boo-Boo-Galoo) is our latest project curated by Digger's Digest and produced by Born Bad Record and will be out the 25th June. This 13 titles compilation gathers a selection of tracks sounding like a rather unorthodox créole interpretation of the nuyorican Booglaoo, stuck between the strong Yéyé influence coming from the french Metropole and the modern latin fusion emerging from Harlem.

Released in 1978 by classical guitarist John Williams and taken from the LP 'Travelling'. This has always been a favourite of mine, but it needed some work to make it playable. 
This is stretched out. I added the pads, synth, congas, vibraphone, piano, and even my cats meow to give it a different feel :-)
