“This mix, Qulubuna, is named after a track I composed for the Zilzal: Sonic Ceremony compilation. Qulubuna means “our hearts” in Arabic, and it reflects the whirlwind of emotions I’ve been experiencing over the past year and a half, watching the violence escalate—and continue to escalate—from afar. Through sound, I try to process the grief, helplessness, and longing that come with bearing witness from a distance.”

Nour Sokhon is a Lebanese artist based in Berlin, Germany, whose work explores diverse methods of artistic research, including interviews, field recordings, and site-specific interventions. Her findings are translated into sound/music compositions, performances, interactive installations, and moving image work. 
Sokhon completed her Master's degree in Sound for the Moving Image at the Glasgow School of Art in 2017. In 2019, she received the Emerging Artist Prize at Sursock Museum, Lebanon for her piece Revisiting: Hold Your Breath. In 2020, she was awarded the Sound Art scholarship by Lower Saxony and the University of Fine Arts in Braunschweig.
Her debut solo album, Beirut Birds, was released in 2024.

Brainiac is an American noise rock band from Dayton, Ohio, formed in 1992 by Tim Taylor, Juan Monasterio, John Schmersal and Tyler Trent. They disbanded after the passing of lead singer Tim Taylor in 1997, before reforming in 2019. Brainiac is really, rather good.

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from DJ Magal. A key figure in Brazil’s underground for over four decades, the São Paulo-based artist is known for his fluid interplay between history and modernity. With residencies at some of the country’s most iconic clubs and a continued presence in contemporary spaces, Magal has shaped generations of dancefloors. His sets reflect 42 years behind the decks, featuring a wide-ranging repertoire that spans genres such as Post-Punk, Synth-Pop, Industrial, EBM, Acid House, Techno, and Electro.

This mix, recorded entirely on vinyl, focuses on post-punk and timeless classics. A deeply personal work, it marks 42 years of Magal’s ongoing contribution to underground culture—a reflection of his history, vision, and dedication to the craft.

Bryter Layter is a band based in Italy. Made up by 5 polite individuals.

The first single "Drive Safely" was released in August 2022 and recorded in Amsterdam.

On January 2025, after 3 other singles and a bunch of live shows in clubs and festivals in northern Italy, they release Hilversum Sporting Club, their very first EP.

Bryter Layter are Francesco Flamini (Vocals), Matteo Sassaroli (Drums, Vocals), Andrea Cherbaucich (Guitar, Synthetizers), Marco Miccoli (Guitar), Davide Corsini (Bass).
