This is a sample of some of the nature ambience recordings I captured in the back country of the Algonquin Park interior in Ontario Canada June 24-27, 2019. This Recording was captured at around 10:30 pm.
Small cracks and pops can be heard from a small campfire that was dying down from about 20 feet away.

Wilderness Americas : Amazon Rainforest is a collection of sounds captured in the West part of the Amazon basin (El Oriente) across 3 country of south america : Bolivia, Ecuador and Colombia.

This library focus on the wildlife and wilderness sounds of the Amazon rainforest/jungle. Reaching the Amazon region is not easy and need many resources and time. 
Also the weather conditions are very bad for the people and audio equipment : extrem humidity, rain and heat don't works great with microphones and recorders. 
We have selected audio gear for this purpose : tropicalized microphones : sennheiser MKH 8020 and MKH 30 series in a surround configuration + world known recoreder : Sound devices Mixpre10T. We have taken also a humidity proof microphone basket (Cinela)
This weather proof setup permit us to record even under strong tropical rains. (We have also a special mic cover which reduce the sound of rain drop on the microphone basket)

We have always focus on places, where they protect and respect the "Selva" (Forest), especially place like National Park, Research Station or community places. 
-> We went record in this different place : Madidi National Park (BOLIVIA), Podocarpus National PArk (Ecuador), biological station of "Jatun Sasha" (Ecuador), 
the forest around the Rio Napo (a affluent connect to the amazon river) (Ecuador), the "Reserva de Produccion Faunistica Cuyabeno" (Ecuador) and the region around Mocoa, between Santa Rosa Canyon and the Paway Reserva (Colombia).


We have used "sound trap" technics for long and immersive recording : 
we have hide microphones and protect recorder in a waterproof bag and let it for days and night in the middle of the rainforest (usualy 24 hours non stop recording). 
This system allow us to record the sunrise, dawn chorus, and sunset, time where the animals are more active.

PWL09 : Wilderness Americas : Amazon Rainforest - Demo

This underwater recording highlights the hive of activity in the coral reef just off the beach in Amarynthos, Euboea, Greece. The recording was made mid afternoon, with the hydrophones placed on the reef bed at a shallow depth of around 1.5 metres. The reef is in good health with a beautiful ecosystem of coral and sea life. Amongst the sound we hear the sound of Pistol Shrimps that use their claws to shoot a bubble bullet to stun their prey. There are also reef cleaner fish as well as the sounds of the coral itself.

Kubah's forests are pulsing with life, and the soundscapes that can be heard in this national Park are among the most incredible I have ever experienced. This recording features the incredibly powerful sounds of Empress cicadas, along with the melodic song of the White-rumped Shama, and the rhythmic ' te-hoop 'calls of Golden-whiskered Barbets.
