UTR are back in business with their upcoming Subspecies VA - a compilation dedicated to the day-time, psychedelic prog groovers. This edition of the VA compiled by SixthSense favourite - Scionaugh, is without a doubt, going to be one of UTR's best releases yet. 

The Eartheogen remix of Grouchie's 'Hyperion' is pure class. Eartheogen's sense of minimalism is strong throughout the journey of this track, making it a must play in any early morning prog session. Baseline chug, intricate percussion, bubbly synths that would make you dig some holes about it in the morning at the dewf.

Arno Gonzalez is producing a modern house sound that sometimes ventures into melodic territory close to Electronica, the Angevin artist was first spotted by the Parisian label Missive, then by Timid Records, on which he released his debut album “Encounters”, as well as a number of EPs and remixes...

Today, he is one of the spearheads and leaders of Brique Rouge, David Duriez's label, with whom he is on a mission to perpetuate and reinvent a certain vision of House and Techno music.

With this second album, which marks “the end of innocence”, Arno explodes the codes of his music to better transcend them. We find his inimitable touch, a particular sound that is sometimes minimal, sometimes warm and melodious, a real signature on 13 tracks that tell a real story.

If this is the end of innocence, it's also the beginning of maturity.




Brique Rouge label is a pillar of the French House underground since 1999.

The label continues to disseminate the electronic sound David Duriez believes in, far from formatting and excessive vulgarity. An eclectic electronic sound that remains rooted in the underground and on vibe above all.  In general, the team's artists benefit from a carte blanche, and it's above all the state of mind that counts. The label isn't looking for success, it's a success. The success of being able to release music without compromise. With one release a week on platforms since 2020, the label (and its divisions RZ Muzik & Obliqu3) is seen as a key player on the French underground electronic scene, given the activism it demonstrates.

Faithful to the spirit of this music's beginnings - Acid House, Chicago and New York House, or the power of Belgian or Detroit Techno - the label has been churning out releases for 25 years without ever sinking into cynicism, nostalgia or parody. Brique Rouge has established itself as a key French label for the distribution of emerging and creative artists (known and unknown) who draw their inspiration from the roots of the genre, but also pursue the search for new vibes. Without commercial imperatives, the label innovates and denies itself nothing. No formatting, no time sacrificed on the altar of the platforms of streaming, with Brique Rouge it's not the face of the human behind the machine that is highlighted, but its music.

Copycow is thrilled to welcome Manu Ferrantini from Paris, Lisbon, Goa with his new EP. He presents his definition of minimal pleasure featuring Jonny K and remixes by cow-doctor Breger and by debut-cow Calm Chor from India. The 3 original tracks show no mercy when it's about creative beats and slick ear worms. The title track'Bonheur Stoner vs Jonny K' let you finally discover the genre Minimetal: driving guitar melodies and smashing grooves meet 2 rockers in the techno studio. While the 'Lost Love Cowboy' exploits Manu's own guitar play to perform a true romance, 'Konfys' features grumpy vocals by Kenny Berggren from Sweden. He did lose his socks and none of us found them. If anybody finds Kenny’s socks, please let us know. Breger and Calm Chor worked on their own confusing interpretations, they went from minimal pressure to sci-fi tales and definitely went deep inside, but could not find the socks either.
