Ruled By The Machines explores the sounds of a turbulent dystopian future. Drawing influences from his favourite cult-classic movies, Tom endeavoured to depict the concept of a power struggle between human civilisation and the uncontrollable advancement in the technology it created.

Indulging his imagination, Tom has placed himself deep in the elaborate scenes circling his mind. The music would be written solely based on a character or scene that Tom envisioned, whilst he basked in the challenge of bringing typically cinematic themes to dance music.

Exploring the harmonious amalgamation of mechanical elements and organic flowing textures, Ruled By The Machines is a melting pot of exquisite progressive house energies embellished with gritty minimal techno and eclectic electronica.

Zephyr EP houses a complete Russian take-over from the likes of Spintribe and LAVR. Sprintribe reinforces their particular, crossbreed of retro progressive techno intertwined with African rhythms and funky house that sounds like it’s the result of robotic dinosaurs getting down. On remix duties, LAVR provides us with textbook, zenonesque precision. From his space station, he commands cinematic breaks, dark stabs and fluid grooves. Zephyr EP is well-rounded in its broad approach to the underground, psychedelic sound.

Dark Design unleashes this forest-dwelling EP, Caipora, into the wild. Also hailing from Melbourne (AUS), Unknown Concept and Jedidiah feed us two outstanding remixes. The original track is cinematic in sound design, contained by spacious textures and trails along with warm analog synths. In contrast to the electronic sounds, there's a natural balance with world percussion and organic foley. Both remixes lend creative ingenuity to the EP. Unknown Concept brings the heat with his driving, big room prog techno and Jedidiah lays down utterly cerebral psychedelia.
