dimensions to the original tracks and rounding out the project with fresh reinterpretations.

Undefined Pattern is a one of the most interesting producers of the new mexican electronic scene. On this new imprint, she combines broken beats, distorted bass, latin vocals samples, straightforward synthesizers, distorted drums, mexican percussions and catchy melodies. The result is a 6 tracks-EP mixing guaracha, reggaetón mexa, cumbia, breakbeat and techno, and including a remix by Fobos Hailey : a funk, punk, raw and modern reinterpretation of mexican electronic music, for those who aren't afraid to leave their souls on the dancefloor!

On the abandoned playground, only the fence neon still flickers. Someone carved 6 / 14 / 161 into the wire. The city doesn’t sleep—it counts: a broken kick like boots in gravel, the snare laying down law on 2/4. Two 303s speak in turn—one low and stubborn, one sharp and toxic—like sirens through steel bays. No nostalgia, only forward drive; a red slash on the ground points one way. At bar 129 the breath stalls, then everything drops back into the dark.

The Emergence LP is just a small part of a larger audio-visual project, with many pieces of music that feature in the live shows but not on the album. Panned is a track that came from experiments with live surround sound shows where I use 6 or more channels to create spatial forms for each piece of music. I wanted to bring this experience to a stereo format, so I created a track with every element hard panned, with some extreme sounds to enforce the effect. 

The track is also built around some experiments with looping audio through analogue pedals - distortion, ring mod and delay. I had a lot of fun pushing the limits and making them squeal in a heavy sort of way, which lent itself to this intense form of track. (I also used some of the results in Trust, in a more subtle form).

That intensity was something which seemed a better fit for Joe than the normal album tracks, and I love his work and was keen to get him involved with the project, so we jumped in with a remix of Panned.
