About the Ep: 
Magnitude Recordings was started by Francesco Pico in 2005. The label quickly the gained international recognition in the tech house- and progressive house scenes, working with artists such as Ferreck Dawn, Malbetrieb, Alessandro Diga, Harold Heath, Camiel Daamen, Andreas Bergmann and Eelke Kleijn (as part of the Backroom Boyz, a joined effort between Francesco and Eelke) to name a few.

With Francesco Pico moving on to be a household name in the progressive house scene, working for labels such as Audio Therapy (Dave Seaman's imprint) and Global Underground, and releasing full length artist albums on Manual Music and Outside The Box Music, he struggled to find the time to run Magnitude Recordings and so the label ended in 2011.

But now, after a 7 year hiatus, Magnitude Recordings is making it's comeback into the scene as an official Manual Music sister label. And what better way to re-start the label than with a release by the label founder himself!

The industry veteran has truly outdone himself here with two pieces what just might be amongst his strongest productions to date. That trademark 'Pico sound' really shines thru here on both the title track 'Taming Da Echoes'- as well as on 'Bugs Jump Out Of The Water'. A vibe hard to define in words, somehow cleverly combining the best elements of progressive- and tech house creating a sound which would directly be recognized as being a Francesco Pico production.

To properly propel the Magnitude label name back up there where it belongs we've asked not one, but two heavyweight names to rework Francesco's tracks. First up it's man-of-the-moment Kasper Koman who reworks the title track. The Dutchman has had a great year so far which started off with the release of 'Iota' on MNL only to be followed shortly by his top 10 hit 'Ground' on Guy Mantzur's Plattenbank label. That Kasper has the midas touch at the moment is proved once again with this remix for 'Taming Da Echoes'. A truly flawless piece of progressive house music!

And when you're speaking of progressive house music, it won't take long until the name of another industry veteran pops up. Pole Folder has been on the forefront of the scene for a long long time and keeps impressing with his stellar DJ performances as well as an everlasting output of quality music on his own Reworck imprint, quite regularly produced by himself. The Belgium based artist has the honor to close this release and we must say, with the remix he has delivered for 'Bugs Jump Out Of The Water' the honor is all hours!

'Taming Da Echoes EP' is just a glimpse of what's to come on Magnitude Recordings this year and we can't wait to show you some more music soon!

After their collaborative release on the most recent Manualism album on Manual Music, and earlier solo works on Cinematique, MNL and Manual Music, Sounom & Sagou are back with a fantastic new joined effort; 'Everyday Moments'

The Dutch duo bring the vibe of summer here, with a lovely warm floating piece of progressive house. A proper feel good tune, with it's infectious uplifting bassline and joyful melody. This will put a smile on many faces without a doubt.

First up on remix duties it's Colombian rising star Kamilo Sanclemente who really doesn't need any introduction anymore. He takes 'Everyday Moments' into a deeper direction with it's mysterious soundscapes and tight sounding arp arrangements. A sure thing for many prog DJ's out there.

And then we finish things in style with a remix by our favorite Canadian producer; Dustin Nantais. With his 'Last Legs' single still buzzing the charts he delivers a euphoric deep house music influenced bomb, build around the warmest of basslines you can imagine. What a tune!

Undefined, not merely a DJ duo. 
Childhood friends Steve Vella and Ryan Cachia, kickstarted this project in 2015 with the sole purpose of blending their individual personalities and perceptions into one captivating entity. 
Budding from the Mediterranean island of Malta, they seek to be eventually defined (pun intended) as the next breakthrough in underground music.

The original is a barn burner that we knew we needed to release from the second we heard it! It's as eerie as it is beautiful with haunting voices, emotive and ever building arp sequences which finally crescendo into something that is bound make tears stream from your eyes.

The remix comes courtesy of the hardest working man in electronic music… Steve Parry. 
Hailing from Liverpool and donning many different hats such as the head honcho of Selador and of course DJ supremo. We have wanted Steve to sprinkle his magic proggy touch onto one of our releases for a long time and this is indeed the right time. 
Steve’s refined mix brings a certain dancefloor mayhem (that a few got to experience back in may thanks to John Digweed) that only a true prog master can bring.
This is one that will make richter scale blow up in earth-shattering brilliance.

The incongruent sound of off-kilter percussive clicking ripples through melodic brilliance – Dan Sieg returns to a well-travelled Mango Alley, "Something's Not Clicking Right" creates a new aural pathway. A returning iconic figure generates a frisson of drama; an expectant audience filled with eager anticipation. Quivver makes his mark once again, firing with accustomed precision. Clarity of purpose and unrivalled techno credentials create an aural landscape of monochromatic beauty. Brilliant patterns coalesce from a trinity of distortion, reverb and delay as they pan across the stereo spectrum in dizzying glory. The infinite shades between black and white swirl in patterns and a bedrock of four/four beat is juxtaposed against freeform melodic interpretation that reaches its zenith before exploding in wall of mesmerising sound.

Australian flair combines with sonic beauty as Luka Sambe creates a new pulsating soundscape. Taking centre stage, a stellar cast of pulsating rhythmic components and flowing melodic creativity converge in a new narrative. Percussive vectors align themselves in clean, sharp lines creating a chessboard pattern from where an infinite array of patterns emerge from rippling keys and searing regal synths. Arpeggios dance lightly, comprised of complex, ever-evolving tessellations that refer to themes resonant where something is clearly right.

Different shades of white create a new world of light; they illuminate and elucidate in tales that ignite.

At a time when progressive music continues to flourish so too does Dmitry Molosh. As one of the movements brightest stars, the Belarus based artist has continued to dominate the scenes landscape. A string of Beatport chart hits along with live play from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J and Replug's own Cid Inc., have made him one of the genre's trendiest artists. In addition to forging strong ties with Sudbeat Music and Guy Mantzur's Plattenbank Records, Dmitry has grown into one of Replug's primary artists, most recently remixing Navar's 'You Find' in spectacular fashion. Now returning to the label amidst much anticipation, Dmitry presents his latest artist showcase entitled 'Detektor', alongside a remix from Orsen.

Comprised of three tracks it's the peak time sensibility of the title cut which gets the EP underway. Rhythmically charged, it's chunky low end and percussive cadence unite for a gargantuan swing heavy framework. A storyboard of squelchy synths, dulcet overlays and vocal fragments make for an exhilarating first act. As the break commences the narrative shifts with a tonal top line adding further fuel to the rhythmic fire, before timely modulation and a wave of drum fills sparks a brilliant drop.

Already a favourite of Guy J, the second selection 'Only U' showcases a deeper side of Dmitry's repertoire. Charming atmospheres and emotive shades descend over warm, punchy beats and afro inspired drums. Remarkably fluid, it's emotive appeal grows during the second act, as a poignant lead theme complements the tonal creativities, soothing the senses while advancing the narrative, eventually reaching an elegant finale.

Rounding out the three originals is 'Sacra' which sees the Belarus based artist returning to his pure progressive roots. Dmitry's penchant for warm, contoured grooves is what makes this such a dance floor gem. Deep, rolling and with a bevy of momentum it anchors the tight rhythmic core and pleasant hooks perfectly. Smooth yet euphoric, vibrant stabs add an epic flair, perfectly foreshadowing a timeless, emotionally rich lead theme which bridges the gap to immaculate elevation.

The lone interpretation of 'Sacra' is provided by Replug artist and label boss Dan Baseley aka Orsen. The UK born, Austria based producer got the summer season underway with his critically acclaimed 'Driftwood' EP. Coming courtesy of Replug, the three track offering showcased Orsen's ever expanding sonic palate, earning praise from all corners of the electronic community, including Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, while once again holding a lofty position in Beatport's Progressive House charts. Now returning to the label for just his second remix this year, Orsen rounds the release out with a free flowing rendition of 'Sacra'. The nine minute journey proves to be a master class in dramatic storyboarding, as acidic pulses and astral aesthetics flood your pleasure centres, eventually uniting in colourful sonic comet. Reaching an apex as the second act unfolds, an airier  take on the lead theme takes you a step closer to the cosmos, before one final rush elevates the piece to an energized yet ethereal finale.

With the 'Detektor' showcase Dmitry has added an important new chapter to his story, one which maintains his main room appeal while forging a deeper blueprint with originality and emotion. An artist in constant evolution, Dmitry once again finds himself at the forefront of the progressive movement.

Utrecht, Netherlands based artist Kasper Koman debuts on Monog Records with the excellent Wake EP. Kasper has been working on his sound for quite some time, traversing many genres, resulting in a unique blend of happiness, darkness and emotions. He has established a unique signature as a designer of infectious beats, syncopated rhythms and impelling melodies. With support from the likes of Guy Mantzur, Khen, Guy J, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Navar, Sonic Union, Marc Poppcke, Tim Engelhardt, D-Nox, BOg, Chicola and many others this man is starting to make quite a name for himself as a producer. We’re delighted to have him at Monog.

Loud Silence wastes no time in locking us in with a tight kick drum and shuffling hi hat combi on the intro. Cool percussions form up alongside a dark rising pad creating tension. A superb probing bassline fades in, becoming the infectious centrepiece of the track and delivering a hypnotic groove. The track is a beautifully crafted slice bordering the progressive/melodic techno divide, bringing a captivating moment to the listener. Top notch stuff that will not disappoint.

MNL's infamous Seasons series is back with a new episode presenting five lovely deep, melodic and progressive house cuts by five different artists from around the globe.

Newcomer Franco Arce opens the festivities with the lovely sweet melancholic 'Wellness'. What a label debut, and what a way to begin this new Seasons EP!

Next up it's Kostya Outta who makes his MNL return after his well received remix for GabiM's Reset single earlier this year. Alternative is a proper proggy roller. A perfect dance floor groover this one.

Then we move on to another debutant, No Fuss, a producer from the USA who delights us with a deep song that moved us from the first time we've heard it. Check out his lovely 'Phantom' track, it's deep and heady, it's a delight!

Onwards to someone who needs little introduction, since he's been in the scene for quite some years. We're happy to welcome industry veteran Rich Curtis back on board the label and he treats us with a chunky progressive mover titled Disfrazado.

We're ending this release with some proper euphoria provided by Jee Productions artist- and Underground Discovery boss Donny Carr. A new name on the scene, but as you'll hear here definitely a guy to watch!
