Fresh release from 2 talented french artists : DARLYN VLYS & GERMAN BRIGANTE.
After he moved to Valencia, Spain, Darlyn Vlys created his own style of sensual and captivating tech house, tinged with jazzy influences and latin percussions. His sound quickly got him signed to some of the most influential labels on the dance music scene : Get Physical, Upon You, Suara or Sincopat and charted by big names like Loco Dice, Dubfire, Monika Kruse or Matthias Tanzman.
Born in southern Spain, when it comes to Germán Brigante is talking about innovative sound, characteristic stunning groove and a percussive touch in his tracks which results a personal and original sound.
His releases already have the top world electronic current artists support in labels like: GET PHYSICAL, FORM, SAVED, MATERIAL, AREA REMOTE, TRAPEZ, PURA MUSIC, NOVO MUSIC, SINCOPAT, and so on, working along with them such as Smash Tv, Mark Broom, Mihalis Safras, Affkt, or The Glitz amongst others.

WEEKEND HEROES PROMO DJ MIX AUGUST 2013

Italian DJ and producer Marco Dassi is releasing his debut full-length album, First, Quake Me on Hell Yeah Recordings in september 2013.

Having always experimented with a range of sounds and styles from hypnotic techno to melodic bass throughout his career, it is no surprise that this album marks another evolution for Dassi.

A world away from the minimal techno and tight tech loops of his early releases, it’s a more personal and intimate affair that is layered up with plenty of genuine musicality.

Far from a collection of banging bangers, First, Quake Me is a mature record that works on your head as much, if not more than, your heel.

Across the 13 tracks the album peaks and troughs through blissful soundscapes, dancefloor focused grooves and moody ambient pieces as well as some disco nuggets and deep electronic delights. As such it’s a real listening experience from start to finish; and album that takes you somewhere away from here as well as providing plenty of propulsive moments for the club.

Be A Light opens the album with a heavy kick drum and plenty of wiry, sinewy synth sounds that grow in stature and ease you into Dassi’s world. From there Les Petites Choses’ mines a laidback disco groove that is infused with plenty of musicality and frazzled hooks.

Elsewhere the likes of Fleeting Glances suspends you in outer space as sci fi sonics drift by, swells of intergalactic energy build up and dissipate and huge, thudding kicks propel you along. Swedish Love; will no doubt be a standout single for many with its purposeful disco swagger and shiny, reflective analogue textures.

Reloved proves Dassi does vocals as well as instrumentals as he infuses his melodically rich arrangements with muffled male motifs, whilst Acid Purple Weed is a deep house cum acid track that proves this Italian does infectious groove as well as cinematic ambiance.

Closing on the downbeat, depraved sounding technoid slump of Confabulous, First, Quake Me is an album of true invention and originality. It stiches together a wide array of influences into a hugely absorbing tapestry of textural delights.

Influenced by everything from Bonobo, Sufjan Stevens and Cinematic Orchestra to classical, jazz and the mercurial Brian Eno, French artist Jeremy Villecourt aka Croquet Club distills his many musical loves into a beautiful double dose of deeply musical electronica for Anjunadeep.

Blending elements of ambient electronica, indie and dreamy deep house into a swirling sonic journey, "Awake" is a brilliant debut from the French maestro. With gentle bass grooves, uplifting guitar plucks, lulling keys and hypnotic vocals, "Awake" is a blissed-out gem that has already picked up radio play from Nemone on BBC 6 Music.

Completing an impressive debut is the gentle, cascading pianos and washing electronic waves of "Cardigan". The opening track from the recent "Anjunadeep 05" album, "Cardigan" has already proved a cult favourite amongst the Anjunadeep fanbase, as well as earning BBC Radio 1 support from Zane Lowe.

The EP also represents an extended purple patch for the Anjunadeep label, having recently released the brilliant "Mr Man" by Dusky, hit #1 on Hype Machine with "Be Mine" by Lane 8 and topped the iTunes Dance Album charts with "Anjunadeep 05".

Looking, observing, analysing, absorbing and deducing, we always try to decipher what is in front of us and try to behave accordingly. But what happens if we move a little from where we stand, or if we choose a different time to look at a certain thing? We might discover that our understanding and perception of reality is, in fact, all about the Viewpoint we take at a certain moment. 

Viewpoint is the second and double album of Motion Drive, aka Philip Guillaume from Zurich, Switzerland. Motion Drive was formed in 2006, after toying with other projects such as Blue Vortex and Rumble Pack, and can be easily identified for the pumping melodic and yet progressive sounds of the trips he paves. Motion Drive joined the Iono-Music family in 2009 and released his debut album in 2010 - 'In the Dirt'. That first solo album can already give you an indication of the eclectic artistic manoeuvres he creates and the wide range of electronic beats he can master. After two more compilations Sunset Delights (2009) and Recycled (2011) he is definitely ready for the next expedition, the one you are listening to as you read this. 

Viewpoint is made out of two sides of Motion Drive, one is more Progressive Psychedelic Trance which brings the freshest crunchiest sounds this genre has to offer today, and other is more Housy and Chill Out, smooth and softer electronic sensations. In a way Viewpoint is one piece, it all depends where, when and how you listen to it at a certain time. But what will not change or dependent on your position is the fact that you will melt right into it, come on, pick your Viewpoint!

The remix brings the emphasis to a specific vowel sample from the original song, while keeping the main vocals in the back of the mix.

Die Vögel are back.
Almost two years after their sensational debut release‚ Blaue Moschee, the arena rocking EP that’s still a permanent fixture in Sven Väth’s record bag, Die Vögel have laid another milestone in the history of club music - the Fratzengulasch EP.
Ground breaking, surreal and captivatingly timeless, this dance music doesn’t give a damn about the laws of gravity and the monotony of everyday routines. 

For some reason or another, there seems to be a sort of restricting fence around the electronic dance music scene at the moment. In true Trojan style, Die Vögel batter and ram the wall until a hole appears; a hole big enough for all the gleely squealing party people to crawl through. Out and on to freedom! It’s a brave new world and help is at hand for the weary of ear. Listen in to the dream-like canons, freely dissonant brass orchestrations and hypnotic-psychedelic beats.

The arrangements are clever, without relying on samples and tried and tested techniques. Off they stroll, Mense Reents and Jakobus Siebels, breathing in the fresh air, enjoying a clear view of a history of nocturnal dance music that goes back beyond 1986 and Chicago and is today international electronic folklore.
It was the machines that taught Die Vögel duo to play their instruments in a different way and from them the machines have learned what makes a musician tick.

That’s how songs like ‚Fratzengulasch’ come about: A tribal meditation, and a beautiful canon sung by Jakobus and Ebba Durstewitz, otherwise known as the band Ja König Ja.

Or the glorious ‚Maikäferbenzin’: There are sub binaural sounds on this track that get your brain hemispheres swinging in perfect synchronicity, on a frequency generally only experienced when in a trance. And there they’re left, swinging away until the last third of the song where an abrupt saxophone break briefly interrupts, only to deliver the listener safely back into an absolute state of bliss and felicity.

Mense and Jakobus’ brilliant Pantha du Prince remix got people wondering but even before that the question cropped up: what is this music?
DJ Koze calls it ‚Sect Funk’.
We say: Pampa style in its purest form!

I’d heard so much about this place and finally had the chance to visit—and even play my music here.

It was a long journey for me to get to Berlin, but now I understand why people keep talking about it. It reminds me of the underground events in Koh Phangan. 

There aren't many places in the world where you can experience this kind of party. 

For me, it’s a breath of fresh air—a real answer to all the commercial stuff happening around us.

Raul Mezcolanza has made a name for himself by making all sorts of Techno, so he prepared two pounding slabs for us here at Sabotage, alongside fellow producer My Name Is Pinxo.The title track gets down to business with a galloping bassline and shuffling drums that immediately set the tone for this EP. Nothing less here than a vigorous workout with the production packing a mighty punch.Luckily, "Face2Face" is on the same wavelength, this time employing a dark synth sequence to take control of the situation, while the rhythm section provides a powerful backdrop for the mayhem.

It is sometimes hard to realize if you are going the right way, because really, what is the ‘right ‘way? It is wonderful if you have good friends or relatives who can at least tell you that you are going in the wrong way, but if not, it is up to you to be able to talk to yourself and say Don’t Stop.

Pop Art, aka Oshri Krispin from Israel, is also known as Indra and Slow Bit. He has definitely did not stop and released many albums, while contributing to many labels such as Plant B.E.N, Trancelucent, Spliff and All Records. This is the third time Krispin is collaborating with the Iono Music family, after his previous EPs – Dark Side and Rain or Shine. 

It is important to have that inner drive that keeps you going and shouts at you every one in a while – Don’t Stop! You might think of creative ways to stimulate these kinds of instincts, like Flegma & Nerso, aka Dalibor Delić & Dragan Matić have done with Sonic Manipulations. But this technique should be revised, edited and remixed by Pop Art in order to have a new approach.
