The highly prolific Maksim Dark returns to Senso with a slamming 4 track EP of hard-hitting techno. The opener and EP title Music Train sets the tone - thick, snarling synths and a driving, powerful groove punctuated with precise percussion and fills. Razor is just as effective - a rolling bassline carries the groove before Dark’s trademark tight drums add to the sense of propulsion. Layered on top come a familiar detuned vocal and slices of metallic synth stabs. Magento is even more urgent, employing a simpler sound palette but upping the ante with a wobbling bass and drums that hit hard. Last up is Atomizer, which completed this late night quartet of techno rollers.
Dark turns the screw, dropping a tightly-wound cut of high tension and restrained euphoria.

It's finally here.. The much awaited album of one of our favourite producers in the game.. One Million Toys.  

These album tracks have launched people further into space than Elon Musk's 'SpaceX' can at the moment. We are very grateful to play a small part in promoting this epic release from an epic guy. 

Much love to Digital Structures and Sagy Amir. With both being Israeli, there's hope and manifestation that this album will bring joy, love and elevate the vibes of people that have been devastated by the recent terror attacks.

Dance floor taskmaster REINHARD VOIGT is at it again, dropping a new set of raw, willful techno cuts that follow his much-acclaimed solo release REISEN & SPEISEN (KOMPAKT 338) and a stirring split EP effort with Michael Mayer on TIME IS RUNNING (KOMPAKT 328). He even found time in his busy Kompakt schedule to throw in a rare remix for El_Txef_A on rising underground imprint Forbidden Colours. Voigt’s latest outing KONTRASTE fits snugly in the artist’s tradition of powerful, minimalistic techno with a headbanging twist: oscillating between pure movement, and monolithic, abstract riff, the a side’s THE SINGING SAW interweaves several rugged synth motives around a stoic, empowering bassdrum, while b side jam TRUST takes the scenic route, building its simple, yet highly effective lead sounds up into a towering grinder with a touch of silkiness. As we’ve grown to expect from REINHARD VOIGT, the whole is always greater than the sums of its parts, with these new recordings again proving his mastery of all things banging.

Reinhard Voigt returns to his own label KOMPAKT with another episode of satiric techno to enlighten today’s current trend of deadpan dance music.

Since the 1990’s, Reinhard has brought an unparalleled spirit into the techno scene through outrageously energetic live shows and the many releases under alias such as SRI, Pentax plus of course his ongoing collaboration Voigt & Voigt together with esteemed brother, Wolfgang Voigt.

Reinhard embraces all that wildlife has to offer with “Was wir spüren”. Starting things off with the future afterparty anthem, “Das singende, klingende Ding” the bass drum is there to guide the lost and found through a voracious bee storm as the rooster crows gloriously towards duck quacking oblivion.

“Tausendmal zu viel” fits perfectly as the soundtrack for to the artwork created by Mareena von Cube – a tormented hymn loops its way to the warriors of the never world.

“Der Mann, der nie nach Deutz kam” is classic Reinhard Voigt techno at peak-time point. A throttling bass drum is voraciously fuelled by the jungle twilight.
