• ABOUT THE SYMBIOSIS VA & TOUR PROJECT •

Through cross collaboration between artists and back catalogue of records, perfectly resembling the close affiliation between the two Australian labels: Bassic Records and Recovery Collective - we are proud to present you with the Symbiosis VA compilation.

Two of Australia's rising techno imprints have found Symbiotic balance in their contemporary collaboration project that includes an extensive Various Artist compilation featuring 12 tracks and 24 artists, plus a 3-stop Australian tour priming their dominance of the scene.

Built on such similar ethos and with a growing relationship bound by sound, it seemed natural for the labels to take another step forward by forging a unique project of music publishing and cross promotion.

SYMBIOSIS, the 12-track VA collaborative compilation includes a series of remixes from each of the labels respective back catalogs, featuring:

Amuze, Ark-E-Tech, Axon, Bongani, Concrescent, Cultured Link, Doppel, Dylan Carroll, Handsdown, John Baptiste, Jydn, Kalil, Käse Kochen, Leigh Boy, Liam Sieker, Matt Dwellers, Monotreme, Placeholder, Prosdo, Ramsi, Samwise, Shantaraam, Somersault, TAYA, Terminus43, Waveback and Zombie Apocalypse.

Floating somewhere between melodic, psychedelic and progressive, influenced by elements of the thriving outdoor techno sound of Australia and the hard scene of an underground dwelling in dark clubs.

Bayawaka is an artist name of Golan Aflalo, originally from Jerusalem, presently living in Berlin. Initially, Golan was all about Broken Beats, PsyBass, Breaks and Chillout, but in the last few years he branched out to four-on-the-floor genres which he DJ’s under the name Golanski.

Since the early 2017 Golan is also a co-managing Digital Structures’s Berlin branch, and this following xXETEXx Vol. 02 is his take on the world of Psychedelic Tech - hand picked, road tested, grass fed and organic voyage into the diversity of dance floor sound. Audio Anonymous join Ipcress (Nanoplex)for this sizzling beast of a psychedelic techno track. Taking its name from the UK graffiti artist of the same name, 'Helch' was conceived over many months and iterations before the final mix was ready. A confirmed change of direction for everyone involved - every sound in this track was created from scratch. We are super excited with the final result. We've asked the IbogaTech family to get different mixes together which will be released imminently - with this release containing one from progressive tech leg James Monro - Released 29th June 2020.

This week we welcome a true underground hero. From the holy land Israel, get your earholes ready for : SOUTHPUNK !! (@satsek)

Hailing from the town of Kiryat Gat, this humble guy has been on the creative hustle for a number of years, making sound that no one else dreams of creating. His heart and soul goes into each and every production and his drive to improve and evolve is very hard to match. 

His sound is best described as bold and heavily inspired from the land and scene he hails from, the sort of stuff that will place your spiritual being right in the thick of a middle eastern desert rave. No wonder Yuli Fershtat can't get enough of this techno gangster, inviting Southpunk to exclusively release on Digital Structures since 2018. This podcast has a mix of his releases blended in with unreleased material that will have the souls of your feet on that PHD shuffle frenzy. 

The future of this genre scape is looking healthy and with guys like Southpunk leading the way for the next wave of producers, we can be rest assured that our ears are in very good hands.

This complete collection of progressive house, smooth techno, and uncategorizable gems paint the aura of the magnificent eucalyptus trees that encompass the heart of the Australian festival scene.

Eucalyptych is a response against the normalized order of the music industry, crumbling the fabricated borders. By inviting the owner of a label to compile a release for a label that is not their own, we can deepen the connection, collaboration, and strengthen the sound.
