The next producer to bless our arsenal with absolute dut is Neve. With a back-catalogue likely to make any discerning dnb head's eyes water, we're gassed to present two more slices of aggy dancing-music from the Italian neuro wizard. Many years in the game as an active DJ have honed Neve's talents; a high level of technical proficiency, and an acute ear that informs both his own productions and the stamina of his own label, The Dreamers. 

A-side 'Micron' is a white-knuckle roller, ultra-tight bass programming stutters and spurts over a choppy, technical break, with pepperings of ravey synths and vocals raising the temperature significantly, one of them ones that takes your legs out from right underneath you on the drop. 

The flip 'Please Rhythm' somehow manages to increase the energy even further, starting as an echoic nightmare-scape, it then drops into a sensory overload of stabby bass and relentless snares, the kind of tune that has you breathing a sigh of relief when it finally chucks you a regular drum break to grasp onto amidst the madness; dancefloor confusion GUARANTEED. 

Alien bass design and fierce energy is the hallmark of this release; grab it before all ya mates get there first!

Base - Encaunter (Free Download)

George cannot sleep, so he logs onto his computer from his home office and continues to compose code for the program he is writing for his client. The customer has requested an online system that detects deleterious bugs in software, a field that George is somewhat of a legend in. Just a few more lines of code and his script will be complete, but then suddenly, his monitor begins to flicker and black screens. George panics and smashes CTRL , ALT and DELETE to try and regain life and salvage his digital creation. Nothing happens. He tries a second time, but then the lights in his home office begin to quiver. The luminance oscillates like a lung breathing in and out excelling in speed on every swell, as the brightness increases to the point where the whole environment burns a clean, crisp white. George is blinded and feels his body being compressed into a vacuum state as his bones begin to condense to a quantum level. Silence falls as he plunges into near darkness, the only light being emitted is from a single, red blinking LED. He scans his red strobe lit surroundings with puzzling eyes. The floor is covered in unnatural digital paths that angle off between large cylindrical towers  and large spikes and beads of molten metal protrude around them, like trees around a meandering river. His heart drops and he realises the strange event that happened just moments before, he has been engulfed inside his own computer. Suddenly, a deafening buzz radiates from a large central, square structure and as he looks down, the cybernated arteries beneath his feet begin to glow. He looks up, and standing in front of him is a despicable, ghastly ball of energy, it’s every existence one of complete corruption and malfeasance. A sudden sense of irony floods George’s quantum being as he is  now face to face with the very bug he had been out to destroy. Error 2759 - this is system online.

This brutal hybrid duo; System Online & JWEEX, submerge the twenty-first century raver with neurological sound waves as they emancipate their ridiculous, skull shattering EP ‘Encryption’. The EP manifests the concept of a massive, underwater computer hacking facility which is evident in the atmospheric soundscapes of each track. The eerie, oscillating sirens of the first single ‘Ancients’, warns the listener before submerging them into a deep, hard rolling bassline that rattles the brain. ‘Biollante’ echoes the sinister sirens but then sabotages the cerebellum with a twanging slap-bass. ‘Inversion’ brings a unique melodic energy to the odyssey as it pivots between dance floor drum and bass and the darker, harder side of neurofunk. However, the trojan horse of this epic, audio adventure is ‘Reality’. This leviathan pummels and punches the very existence of its name, as it cyclones through gritty, throaty basslines to create a tear-up finale. Oh and did I mention the second drop?
This EP demonstrates the versatility and musical talent of System Online & JWEEX and it’s safe to say, their sounds intertwine perfectly.
