San Antonio, TX-based metal quintet Kingdom Collapse are a seriously powerful musical juggernaut who, if you have any reason to doubt us whatsoever, will turn you into a believer after you simply hit play (via the SoundCloud player just above) on their new track "Bottom Feeder". You'll notice that your mouth is now hanging agape and collecting flies as an absolutely thundering wall of sound has enveloped you entirely and begun to draw mental comparisons to that of being tossed around in a tidal wave.  Wake Beneath the Cross is a post-hardcore concept album that fuses Christian faith with Lovecraftian dread, unfolding across a cursed coastal town lost to ancient darkness. Through haunting lyrics and explosive instrumentation, the album follows a cliffside poet, a redeemed foreigner, and shipwrecked sailors as they confront demonic forces, ancestral idols, and the cost of salvation.

 Each track is a chapter in their spiritual war—lamenting long voyages through profane lands, breaking tribal curses, and ultimately facing a final choice: escape on the last ship, or stay and fight for a town that may already be lost. With themes of redemption, sacrifice, and divine defiance, the album ends on a cliffhanger, leaving the fate of the town—and the souls within—up to the listener’s interpretation.

 For fans of narrative-driven heavy music, Wake Beneath the Cross is both a battle cry and a benediction.

Front man Kyle Winterstein is currently a Firefighter/Paramedic/Technical Rescue Specialist. His brother and guitarist, Ian Winterstein (Sponsored by Schecter) is a Flight Medic on a helicopter. Bassist Anthony “Guido” Hernandez (Sponsored by Spector) is finishing his business degree in marketing..
