San Francisco based since 2011, Carlos Souffront has been wowing crowds with his profound love of music, adventurous selections and creative and thoughtful approach to DJing since the mid 1990s. Renowned as a DJs DJ Souffront gained his first residency in ‘95 at Zoot’s Coffeehouse in Detroit and has gone on to be closely associated with a number of legendary US parties including Interdimensional Transmissions’ infamous No Way Back events, The Bunker in New York and San Francisco’s Honey Soundsystem. Proclamations visible on The Internet name Souffront as possessing the greatest collection of acid records on the planet whilst The Bunker’s Derek Plaslaiko states that Souffrant is the greatest DJ in the solar system. So, for our latest podcast we’re undoubtedly in very good hands indeed. We managed to share some words with Carlos about his current modus operandi, his style of DJing and how he’s managed to keep it fresh from those first humble beginnings in Detroit city through to today.

Rafael Marín Hernández (Murchante, 1994) conjuga, bajo su moniker Rapha Mundi, tres de sus principales pasiones; la música como concepto global, el análisis técnico del sonido y la tecnología como elemento de cohesión entre ambas anteriores.

Obsesionado con agitar e impulsar la deficitaria escena local y comarcal de su lugar de origen, ha invertido buena parte de sus más de quince años de trayectoria musical no sólo en pinchar discos, sino también en organizar eventos germinanando redes culturales con otr@s personalidades de su ámbito y en colaborar de manera activa con plataformas independientes como DLC Kultur (Pamplona/Iruña) o Radio Relativa (Madrid).

Lejos de identificarse con estilos concretos, la propuesta musical de Rapha comprende, tanto en cabina como en el estudio de producción, infinidad de ellos articulados con coherencia y selecciones atemporales tan arriesgadas como acertadas ante un público a menudo poco familiarizado con las vertientes menos visibles de la electrónica.

Recientemente, la búsqueda de su propio sonido le ha llevado a alinearse con otra personalidad reconocida en el panorama norteño, Nacho Piek, junto a quien ha creado y co-dirige el sello Buenobueno Discos, vitola bajo la que acuñará algunos de sus próximos lanzamientos como productor.

Terrence is a London-based DJ and visual artist originally from New York City. Inspired deeply by the eclectic mixing style of house music’s early DJ’s and his years spent as a dedicated dancer in NYC's queer house/techno scene, Terrence has crafted an approach to music that is tension-heavy, psychedelic and leftfield yet decidedly soulful. He cut his teeth DJing at house parties, after hours and clubs around NYC including Trans-Pecos, Black Flamingo and Fotografiska’s Chapel Bar.
