This album has been composed, played and recorded during the year 2019. Released as a vinyl LP in limited edition of 100 in 2020 on Hiératique Records.
This work has known the setbacks of the censorship ! Its physical release was delayed because the French manufacturer refused to press it.
A small committee (a first in the world of the vinyl manufacturers! But well, in this decadent world of politically correct shit, nothing makes sense anymore) judged this album not correct and smooth enough and even insulted the creator - that is to say: myself - by calling him "a fascist" .
A great evil for a great good: goodbye to the jerks, goodbye to the censors and their progressive self-righteousness !
The vinyl was finally pressed by another French manufacturer who did his job very well ! This little story makes this sound piece unique in the industrial landscape and valuable in the informed underground scene.

The O.D.A.S.T. project should continue in 2022, a second chapter is planned on Heathen Electronics.

Cocktail Party Effect starts 2023 with his debut release on Nervous Horizon: ‘Fixing The Roof EP’.

The South London via Berlin artist known for his jaw dropping releases on Tectonic Recordings delivers 5 solid cuts all with their unique style. Made with a bunch of battered vintage hardware: in particular 90s samplers, synths, filters and distortion units paired with the latest computer software, this project really pushes the sound palette beyond conventional club music.

The opening track Fixing The Roof feels like a classic Nervous Horizon track from the time the label first started gaining traction. Safety Button is the bass heavy - dance floor pounder of the lot, a must in every set! 767 enters the “jungle experimentation” realm reminiscent of early Paradox (DnB producer Dev Pandya). Gecko Slide & The Police Took My Garden Away present copious amounts of analog distortion and explosive drum patterns that are really at the heart of the Cocktail Party Effect modus operandi.

Devil Dancers is a 20 track storytelling compilation of experimental minimal wave and punk electronics.

The title is a tribute to one of our favourite tracks by Oppenheimer Analysis (OA - Andy Oppenheimer and Martin Lloyd) that was originally self-released in 1982 on a cassette entitled "New Mexico" recorded at the height of the Cold War and home-taping boom.

A deep exploration through experimental and industrial fields featuring a lot of new and well known faces: Devil Dancers goes further in the label references, while Alan Harman, Panoptique, Helen Island (Violent Quand on Aime) and Le Matin show that the future is also bright for minimal synth.

Experimental music by Bound by Endogamy, Religius Order, Legion 808 and LostSoundBytes to set what is cool in industrial music.-

Tekka es el alias de Ángela Padierna, amante del vinilo desde que se topó con la historia de la electrónica americana, con la que conecto rápidamente por su temprana actividad en la música como rapper. 
Surge de la escena underground de León, una ciudad pequeña del norte de España, en la que se está solidificando una escena que llevaba muchos años de letargo y de la que sin duda forma parte como promotora , dj y rapper.

Its primary mission is to provide a platform for a wide-ranging spectrum of artists, each contributing to the elaborate and diverse landscape that defines the immersive realm of Electro.

EKATA is a London based DJ/Producer + Natural Selection Resident who's productions are characterised by their dark and atmospheric soundscapes, driven by pulsating rhythms and intricate synth work.

Determined to create music that is unearthly, idiosyncratic, emotional and exuding futurism of that of a sci-fi film, she always ensures a story is to be told in each track she produces.
She mainly sticks to the dark and eerie side of Electro/Techno in her productions & gigs, where she will take you on a dark and twisted journey through incredibly dystopian, ominous grooves and obvious sci-fi fixations which embody her carefully picked selections. 

With her first release 'VIRYA' coming out on Avoidant at the end of 2022, She has had an unstoppable start to her production journey, already releasing on some of the best Electro labels out there;  Burial Soil, CHP Recordings, Cybersoul,  Furatena, Mars Frequency Records, Native Boundaries, Urban Connections and most notably her first solo release on Censor records in Jan 2024.

There's a lot more to be expected from EKATA this year, with releases scheduled on several labels and also her first tour outside of Europe planned for spring/summer this year.
