Alright. I'd be lying if I said mixing this kind of music wasn't challenging, but the feeling when 2 "unmatched" tracks end up making magic together, or flow lyrically, is the reason I love mixing music. Making this mix brought out vulnerability and curiosity. 

This has been subcontiously curated for me and my journey that tells the story of what has brought me to now. I am so lucky to have experienced so much life, but it also brought a lot of pain. Music was my muse, my comfort and my language when I could not find the words. I spent a lot of time on top of a mountain range with my hoola hoop. Moving my body to keep me from going stagnant, while I tried to figure everything out. And now here I am - I found my paradise. I am enough <3

Black Lung Beats

Well... I must admit, I am overflowing with gratitude and still in the afterglow of one of the best full moon celebrations in a long a while for me!

 This is a 2 hour dj set. The weather was perfect going from a warm afternoon into sunset, and night. The forest meadow was alive with dancers of spirit and fire. Drums beating, feet stomping, howls of all kinds echoing!
The moon showed its bright eye and from where I was standing inside the dj booth, it was truly spectacular to see. 
There is no other feeling like that and I hope to feel it again soon. 
I, as I have been so many times before, am left fully in awe.  Moontribe is just incredible and has again charged my soul. My friends, my family, this beautiful planet, our sacred Moon...the MUSIC!

So much love and gratitude for this community.

Do not know where I'd be if I didn't find this tribe 22 years ago.

"This mix is a midtempo/funky house journey through some of my favorite genres- soul, hip-hop, gospel, bluegrass, Dolly (yeah, Dolly probably counts as her own genre). It makes me and mine move our happy asses and I hope it does the same for you and yours. Shout out to my crews Brass Tax and Angels of bAss- proud to still be going strong after all these years with y'all. 10 years of frolic campout! Such a momentous occasion required a set to match. Saturday night (technically sun am) 12:15-1:30am @ Saratoga Springs Aug 2-4. Blasting off on the insane waveworks sound system meant the basslines had to hit hard, the culmination of ten years of putting on a bespoke event with the best vibe required the right sounds. Hope you enjoy the set, mostly tech-house with some fun bouncier house thrown in.
