d13: Loop Corporation - Supernatural 
 
As the midnight hour draws closer in, the night-time falls to allow something evil lurk in. As the grisly ghouls get close to sealing your doom, you'll never make it out that dark dirty room.

We thought it only right that our thirteenth release 'Supernatural' be released on one specific date, Halloween!

Ratting hats, slinky drum patterns, haunting synth hooks and a rolling bass-heavy bottom end, this is looped-up techno business poised to tear things up!

Inspired by underground house and techno music and a desire to push boundaries with technology to perform live electronic music Loop Corporation was born. As the name suggests the live show is made up from layering individual loops of chunky grooves, infectious melodies and deep bass lines in an improvised performance offering spontaneous on-the-fly creativity to deliver a soulful beat tweaking serving of house and techno.

At the heart of the Loop Corporation live setup is a MacBook Pro running Ableton software. Ableton is fully midi-mapped to interact with the Liine Lemur app on an iPad using a self-customised version of the Livecontrol 2 interface. Similarly, a Jazzmutant hardware Lemur touch screen controller also controls Ableton through a fully self-customised interface. This touch screen hands on approach to controlling the Ableton platform allows creativity to flow freely throughout the performance and opens up all manor of possibilities when performing live that other approaches for control don't allow making every performance very unique. 

Loop Corporation has released on labels such Warped House Records (UK), Nude Photo Music (USA), Kornerhouse Records (UK), Rapid Fire Records (USA) and Digit Records (UK). Release support has come by way of global DJ’s such as Richie Hawtin, James Zabilia and Tim Sheridan and airplay support (and an interview) has come from BBC Radio Nottingham’s ‘The Beat’ show (the largest listened to show outside London, syndicated across the BBC Midlands network). Loop Corporation has also charted in the top 10 downloads on Traxsource and Nowtrax.

Aside from working on the live show and endlessly in the studio Loop Corporation also found time to study the theoretical side of music gaining an FDSC in Music technology and BSc (Hons) in Audio and Recording Technology. Loop Corporation infuses this sonic knowledge with cutting edge technology to create forward thinking music and be part of the new generation of live electronic music artists.

Born on January 29, 1991, in Szczecin, Poland. The first time when I heard about the techno music was the moment on one of the music station I watched the video for the song Sven Vath called "Mind Games", it was the year 2002. Since this style is accompanied by me until today. He started producing music when he was 16 years old (The beginning of 2007), that was House music but he wanted to produce something more ambitious. Since 2010 He has been producing of techno music, but sometimes I’m trying to make some Tech House and Progressive tracks. Now I'm going to create music in which I found my place, that is pure and intelligent techno. I am a loyal fan of this genre and my role models are personalities such as Adam Beyer, Dustin Zahn, Slam, Nicole Moudaber, Felix Krocher, Alan Fitzpatrick and many other great DJ.

Codename Boogie are formed of two members; Bruno and Ziz. Both are now based in Brighton, UK although Bruno is originally from Johannesburg, South Africa and Ziz hails from Banbury in Oxfordshire. They met in 2003 when working together and discovered a shared love of all music ranging from Classical & Jazz to Hip Hop, Deep House and liquid Drum & Bass. Initally Bruno and ziz DJ'd together, playing out all over the south of England at free parties, beach parties, club nights and boat parties and back in 2011 they joined forces to co-produce under the Codename Boogie. 

They incorporate deep basslines, wholesome beats, memorable hooks and some sweet melodies into their tracks which makes them deep and phat and gives them the kind of soul that makes you want to boogie, hence the name 'Codename Boogie'

Bruno began playing Deep House in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1995 when EDM was in its infancy over there. He progressed to run successful club nights in Johannesburg such as THC & Liquid Bench, he also played music festivals and held numerous residencies at night clubs, most of which which sadly do not exist any more. He left South Africa in 1999 to persue his DJing and production career in the UK however he continued to hold an intenational residency at Reality Nightclub in Downtown Johannesburg for three years afterwards. Reality was voted by Mixmag as the best night club in the southern hemisphere. 

Bruno currently hosts a weekly radio show on www.CodesSouth.fm, called the Wake & Bake Show which is every Friday 9am til midday and also runs a monthly Deep House night in Hove.

Ziz began DJing Hip Hop and Drum & Bass in 1996, playing at nights in Banbury and Oxford. He moved to Brighton Via Winchester in the late 90's and quickly estasblished himself on the local Hip Hop and Drum and Bass scene. Throwing down memorable sets and putting on club nights which soon became stuff of legend!

When he got to Brighton Ziz and the rest of the Dark Horse Pugilists crew started collaborating with numerous producers, MCs and DJs amongst whom were Dr Syntax, Tom Caruana & Elemental. Ziz has been the Director of Music for Brighton Fashion Week since it's inception - it's currently in its 10th year.

Ziz also works on another project called Naked Objects who are currently releasing through Default Recordings
