In January 2020, I was scrambling to complete my master’s thesis before its deadline. That same month, my husband at the time decided that he wanted a divorce. My research question, back then, was about how professionals working in close contact to people in distress protect their emotions while maintaining empathy: how they protect their hearts. It all seemed like a terrible joke.
In October 2022, I started my PhD research in Berlin, asking what do migrant divorcees living in Germany cry about when they cry their divorce.
This episode is about what happened in between.

في أكتوبر ٢٠٢٢ ، بدأت بحث الدكتوراه الخاص بي في برلين، وسؤالي هذه المرة عن تجربة الطلاق في المهجر.
