Get to know the expert behind 5P RECORDS, INC. LORD DIVINE (Born JORY L ROGERS) was raised in the most DANGEROUS and the most HIP-HOP influenced PROJECTS in the BRONX, the BRONX RIVER PROJECTS. Quickly learning the value of a dollar, he went from packing bags at supermarkets to making major moves in the drug game. After a few arrests leading to long prison terms, he decided to change his life and began his journey into music. He formed a independent record label called: 5P RECORDS, INC which stands for: PROPER PREPARATION PREVENTS POOR PERFORMANCE.

Real Mr. Clark was raised in Inglewood, Ca and is one of Los Angeles’s budding new R&B/Hip Hop artists with an insatiable appetite for music and a determination to win against all odds. His new single “Look At This” was released on July 3rd, 2020 and He is currently planning the release of his new EP “The Quarantine Album” set to be released later this month. His inspiration for TQA was, you guessed it, the Quarantine! He wanted to share his unique perspective and experiences about the current times and create a project that would live on and serve as an epic time stamp for the future. On the project, he touches on sensitive topics pertaining to police brutality and the BLM movement as well as COVID-19 and government assistance. He wrote and produced all 5 tracks on The Quarantine Album and the EP is a thorough and great representation of his artistry, true passion and raw talent when it comes to music. 

Mr. Clark comes from humble beginnings. He grew up in Los Angeles, Ca with his mother, father and siblings. Growing up Mr. Clark loved to play video games and do karate. He started playing the keyboard around age 5. His father was the first person to peak his interest into music by being a musician and jazz artist himself. At age 17, however, his dad passed away. Although this was a difficult time in his life he was able to find the strength to charge toward his dream. After high school, Mr. Clark attended various trade schools and community colleges. He received a certificate when he completed massage school, which he pursued as a way to fund his music career. At this point, Mr. Clark began to take his career seriously and decided to further his education while focusing on music. 

During the numerous schools he attended, Mr. Clark was able to sharpen his songwriting skills, host countless singing sessions, travel to Europe and perform and learn the business side of the music industry. Mr. Clark aims to strengthen his brand in many ways and branch into other business endeavors stemming from music. In the near future the public can expect to see music videos, single releases, tours and performances set for 2021. Mr. Clark is an overall humanitarian and has aspirations to start an art school or program to help young musicians like himself better navigate the industry and develop their craft. Mr. Clark’s story is a testimony of resilience at its finest. Having suffered everything from death of loved ones, poverty, homelessness and broken promises he has always pushed forward and never let anyone break his spirit. The power of music helped navigate life and took the lead on his journey of self-discover. “Perceiving and knowing one’s self is the key to changing the world around you”, is a personal quote that this ambitious young man lives by which has proven to be true for him and many other young people sacrificing everything to chase their dreams.
