Finally I have released my first record. After weeks and weeks of preparation I had a very nice concert in a small hall near Bonn in Germany. Even a small Bonsai-tree joined me on stage. It would have been impossible not to have a little bit of nature with me on stage when all the songs are so inspired by landscapes and plants.

Beginnings

Scarborough Fair is a traditional English folk song. The author is unknown. Probably the best-known version today is the adaptation by Simon & Garfunkel, which first appeared in 1966 on the album Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme.
I wrote this German text in 1994.

English translation of my text:

Look at the fields in autumn.
The grain turns yellow, ready to mow.
Reminds me of days gone by.
It was beautiful, I think about it a lot.

And the vines with grapes so heavy.
Makes the wine that we loves so much
Come winemaker, because the work is done.
Raise your glass, because the festival begins.

Forests colorful, a colorful splendor.
Red, green, yellow, autumn made it.
Winter is coming soon and covering everything.
White the landscape, the trees heavy!

I love to express stories through music and explore the visceral space that surrounds them. Sometimes I’m interested in creating sound collages, or tapestries of sound that are varied in their nature but unified in their aesthetic aim. Other times I surrender to something lyrical. Most of the time, I feel compelled to make sense of the world, which is impossible. But, after some work, which includes frustration, and occasional eureka moments, I find deep meaning and satisfaction in my music, especially as I near the finish line and embark on a collaborative journey with fellow creatives.
