Deep, Bouncy & Dark - DJ Sets ☾

The lovely Mystic Tales Family invited me to play at one of their showcases at Klunkerkranich Berlin in the beginning of December. The music shifts between downtempo or rather midtempo, and some deep melodic techno. From slow to not so slow anymore. As per usual, there are also some 'darker' tracks included, since I like to move between soft, dreamy, and dark. Enjoy and ride along <3

🪐 The first Cosmic Dose of our favourite Mystic Creatures took place and I got asked to be on closing duty at beloved Theater Floor. <3 This mix can be described as something I like to call darktempo, a fusion of deep and dark basslines, some bouncy beats & hypnotic melodies. 
Some slow-tech, somewhere in between deep and dark downtempo/midtempo. Enjoy this journey to another sphere. 🛸

✍️ Irgendwo sind wir alle nur Reisende. Ziehen unsere Kreise durch die Universen und Galaxien dieser Dimension. Suchen nach dem Sinn und treffen auf andere, umherziehende Seelen. Diese Leben gleicht einem Spiel, in welchem wir vergessen haben, dass wir die Spieler sind. Manchmal gibt es Lichtblicke. Durchscheinende Momente in denen wir uns erinnern, wer bzw. was wir wirklich sind. Solche Augenblicke sind wunderschön und noch schöner ist es, wenn wir sie mit anderen teilen dürfen. 

🎵  Der heutige Podcast ist ein Live Recording von der Feuerstarterin Diladï. Das Set entstand im Freudentaumel in der Renate. Wieder einmal teilt die waschechte Berlinerin ihr kreatives Können und den Spaß am auflegen mit uns. Dieses Set ist ein liebevolles Miteinander unterschiedlicher musikalischer Style Richtungen. Der rote Faden sind die melodischen Spitzen in Kombination mit einem treibenden Fundament. Ein rundum rundes Gesamtwerk.

✔️ Was sind deine musikalischen Einflüsse? Was ist dein musikalischer Hintergrund?

Ab meiner Kindheit lernte ich bis in die Jugend Klavier, Gitarre und Gesang - dazu kamen später noch Chor und einzelne Konzerte mit Bands. Als Teenie schlug mein Interesse von vorrangig indie und alternative dann sehr stark auf elektronische Musik um; Berlin war dabei definitiv sehr prägend und ist es bis heute.

✔️ Was macht deiner Meinung nach eine gute Afterhour aus?

Wenn man einfach nicht schlafen gehen mag und das Gefühl für Raum und Zeit komplett verliert..

✔️Welche Gedanken magst du uns zu deinem Mix mit auf den Weg geben?

Lasst euch am Anfang schön treiben, grooved euch ein, aber keine Garantie, dass ihr dabei still sitzen bleibt :)

🐈‍⬛ Here comes my 3 hour ride at Acid Bogen, which was also my Kater Debut :) Berliner Techno Zähne invited me to play the perfect Sektfrühstück slot from 10am-1pm. After years of dancing in front of the dj booth, it was a dream come true to get behind the decks and serve some Sektfrühstück among friends and happy ravers.. 🍾

Starting off melodic and light, energy-increasing throughout the set, this ride will take you from melodic house with a pinch of dirty groovy techhouse, to indie dance, accentuated with lots of bounce, catchy vocals (!) and sooome dark disco. And lots of gute Laune 🙃

🚢 Wow, what an incredible feeling to play at beloved Dampfer for the very first time! 💞🧜‍♀️ Having dreamt of this moment for years, I would have never imagined myself playing downtempo in Sisyphos.. since this was also the first time, that the Naked Tea Party took place in Dampfer, I think it's fair to say, it was a special event for all of us. 💫 To see the floor transform into something new through the music played, was just magical. All together, we - hosts, organizers, dancers & djs - created such a smooth, pleasant atmosphere. A memorable night. Thankful, to participate in this. ✨

Grateful, that I was trusted to curate music as I please, thus the sets starts off smooth and moderate, in a way 'warming up' and paving the way to slow'n'deep, yet driving eccentricity, without speeding up bpm. Just, what felt right for this special occasion 🌓

With her playful approach of mixing tempo and genres, you could say, no matter what set she is playing, she is always taking you on a roller coaster. It could be described as music to sink into, while at the same time allowing to rise, as a set progresses... 

As VALE she has an output for her love of dark melodic/peak techno and psy-techno. ]
