Story behind the Dust Storms on Mars

It was one of the large and violent dust storms which occur in the vast plains during the Martian spring. They cover large parts of the Martian surface. A brave research team wanted to conduct research at high altitude during one of these dust storms. They flew their space capsule high into the atmosphere. The roar and thunder of the dust storm could be clearly heard and felt. They were still able to make sensational picture and sound recordings. The strain on The Crew and on the space capsule was enormous. 
The research team was able to observe that the wind speeds in the upper atmosphere were much greater than those on the ground. They did not realize until they returned to their space station that they had recorded other, mysterious sounds as well. The origin of these noises could not be cleared up until today. It remains another mystery of the dust storms on Mars. This provides another reason to re-explore one of the major dust storms. But this decision has yet to be made.

'Sonic Bayou', written and produced by Editor Cole. I wrote this recently with the idea of it being on an EP for spa music, but when It was complete, It worked really well with the rest of the tracks I had written for 'Landing Party', which is an electronic album I'm releasing this spring. It's mostly ambient, dark ambient, atmospheric, sometimes hypnotic, and cinematic in parts. I've yet to finish mixing this, but as ever, best to listen with headphones, or through good monitors.

Sonic Bayou

Fay(tr)/fault; A fault is a fracture or zone of fractures between two blocks of rock. Faults allow the blocks to move relative to each other. This movement may occur rapidly, in the form of an earthquake - or may occur slowly, in the form of creep. Most faults produce repeated displacements over geologic time.
The aim of this piece is mainly create polyphonic texture with a solo instrument. The main material has explored in the piece with it’s inharmonicity and the textural and rhythmical aspect of it’s granular quality.

Dilay Doğanay was born in Izmir, Turkey, in 1999.
Her music evolves in an effort to understand the theatricality of sound and implicit and explicit communication. Her pieces, which she created inspired by language, literature, oral and written communication, sometimes include texts she wrote.
She studied composition in İzmir with Mehmet Can Özer, Füsun Köksal, and she is continuing her Master’s with Franck Bedrossian at KUG. Her music has been performed by different ensembles such as Ensemble Intercontemporain, RIOT, Schallfeld Ensemble, IEMA, hand werk, Next Ensemble; in different parts of the world: Italy, Germany, Austria, Turkey, Ukraine, Netherlands, Switzerland, Colombia, France (...)
