A Trip to the Swamp

In the twilight of a forgotten world, where the dense fog clings to ancient trees and the air is thick with the scent of damp earth, a journey begins. This is a place untouched by time, where the echoes of primal chants still linger among the shadows. The traveler, drawn by an unnameable force, steps into this hidden realm, where the very ground seems to pulse with the memory of rituals long past. As the path winds deeper into the forest, the sounds of the world shift. The whispering winds are replaced by the rustle of leaves and the distant croak of creatures unseen, the swamp’s breath rising in a symphony of organic life. This is no ordinary journey—it is a descent into the heart of the earth, where the boundaries between humanity and nature blur. The traveler becomes one with the wild, each step a dance with the spirits that dwell in the murky depths. Tribal rhythms rise from the shadows, echoing the heartbeat of the earth itself. These sounds, both familiar and alien, weave together in a complex tapestry, guiding the traveler deeper into the underworld of the forest. The journey is relentless, pushing through thick undergrowth, crossing streams that gurgle with ancient secrets, and navigating treacherous bogs where every movement disturbs the peace of the forgotten. Yet, amid the chaos, there is a strange order. The swamp's noises merge with distant, pulsating rhythms, creating a harmony that speaks of ancient wisdom. The traveler is tested, their resolve worn thin by the relentless drive forward. But in this trial, there is also transformation. The deep, resonant chants grow louder, merging with the primal energies of the land, reshaping the very essence of the traveler. As the journey reaches its peak, the traveler emerges from the depths of the forest into a clearing bathed in an uncanny, otherworldly light. Here, the elements of earth, water, and spirit converge, and the traveler stands on the threshold of understanding. The swamp's secrets have been laid bare, its ancient voices now a part of the traveler’s own story. The journey has come full circle, and with it, knowledge and connection with the primal forces that shape the world.

"In the year 2147, Earth is a world ravaged by ecological catastrophe and endless conflict, where the remnants of past civilisations are scattered across a desolate landscape. The few survivors struggle to survive in technologically advanced enclaves, while nature, now hostile, slowly reasserts its rights over the ruins of ancient metropolises."

Diapasøn, a passionate and versatile artist, has had a deep interest in music and playing instruments of all kinds from an early age. It was in 2012 that he fully immersed himself in the world of electronic music, a way for him to fully express his passion for contemporary influences.

In 2015, he founded Cosmic Wave, initially as a collective, quickly evolving into a label that he has been managing since 2017 with releases including 9beats, Vardae, dc11, Atoloi, Mersel and more recently Valentino Mora.
A lover of vinyl, he fashions a unique sonic universe, navigating between ambient and psychedelic techno. His captivating music creates soundscapes imbued with emotion and bewitching textures.

For this occasion, he has crafted a 70-minute mix that encapsulates this unique sonic journey, immersing listeners in deep, evolving rhythms and evocative sound design.

“In today's world, where electronic music continues to evolve from the ground up, my ambition is to bring listening back to something experiential and deeply engaging. Through a language that blends the illusion of fast rhythms with the intricate complexity of experimental music, I aim to create a listening experience that invites deeper appreciation and exploration,” says Maldarella.
