Time for another nostalgia-trip. Here's my piano solo cover of "Littleroot Town", the town where the player begins his/her journey in the original 3rd gen Pokémon games: Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. Can't believe it's been about 13 years since I've first started this childhood adventure...

I've wanted to cover this one for quite some time. This game is almost 10 years old, so this piece has existed for a while and there are numerous piano covers of this out there already. Therefore I wanted to make this arrangement a little more unique by playing an extra slow and relaxing, almost lullaby-like version, in contrast to the normally waltz-like and cheerful mood in the original track. 

Here's my piano solo arrangement of "Rosalina's Comet Observatory" theme from Super Mario Galaxy.

Nostalgia to the max. It takes me back all the way to the original Gold/Silver, when entering the national park and the music suddenly gets all melancholic but at the same time super relaxing. I love the remix/remake of this track from the Heartgold/Soulsilver version of the OST, so I based my cover on that one. 

And of course I had to keep the fancy intro because it's such a signature part of it. Gotta love all the 7th chords in this piece...

I've loved this track since I first played the game. Now more than ever, I think we all need an escape to the stars, or a space lullaby!

I sincerely hope Mario Galaxy will get a remaster for Switch this year. Then a whole new batch of players can experience that magic!

I'm still having issues making my tracks loud enough (and not overly compressed) for SoundCloud. Hopefully it's not too quiet!
