Remix of a...Remix! Thirteen years ago, early into my music career, I released an *attempt* at a remix of the Castle Oblivion field theme from Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories.

In celebration of the XIIIth anniversary of basically my being a music composer inspired by Yoko Shimomura, I thought it'd be both funny and a nice touch to finally finish this KH arrangement I started around 2023 and release it on the very day of said anniversary.

In honor of my usual method of composing by ear and memory, I did not use any existing midi to base the project on, and did not allow listening to the original song from the actual OST to influence this. I did however, try to stylize it in a way that is meant to be somewhat similar to the Cavern of Remembrance in Kingdom Hearts 3.

All rights to the original music and images belong to their respective owners. Kingdom Hearts belongs to Square Enix and Disney.

So... *this* particular track of mine! Out of all the characters in Brothership, the one that I've clung to the *most* is Cozette (and by extension Zokket.) She's such a tragically fascinating villain, especially with how that which caused her turn -- the way society treats Wattanists as tools and not people -- is... not resolved at all, and practically doubled-down on by the story. All of those repressed feelings. The frustration, the loneliness, the hatred... especially the internalized SELF-hatred perpetuated by the very nature of her position. They go unvalidated by the story and the society it's about, meaning this cycle *will* begin again with Connie.

Anyhow! This track was a TON of fun to put together. Got to use a few soundfonts that I've never been able to before, and it's always a treat to work with the Brothership motifs. "A Tragic Past" especially, which I essentially consider Cozette's motif, was nice to work in here. Also HOLY SHIT THE FREEDOM MOTIF IDEA TURNED OUT FAR BETTER THAN EVEN *I* HOPED IT WOULD! Even before I had the idea for this whole track, I always felt the Freedom motif and that one section of Fortress Zokket would mesh really well with each other. And while I used some VSTs here, I predominantly used soundfonts (especially some that I downloaded ages ago and never got to use until now.) Am incredibly with how this turned out, and I hope y'all enjoy! :3
