DSK Records is thrilled to announce the launch of the new various artists series "What Happened To The Underground?", which is set to drop on July 19th, 2024. This various artists compilation features three exceptional tracks specially selected together to send a powerful message about the current state of the underground music scene.

The compilation opens with a stunning track fromEffin & Blindin, titled "Nobody". This masterpiece is driven by a powerful, well-processed vocal and a captivating melody that is sure to leave listeners in awe. Effin & Blindin have once again showcased his incredible ability to create music that resonates deeply with the audience.

Next up is Bulgarian producer Think Aloud, who makes his debut on DSK Records with his track "Spiral". This track is a meticulously crafted dance floor anthem, featuring a great bass progression and powerful synths that evolve throughout the composition. Think Aloud’s debut is a testament to his talent and a promising addition to the DSK Records family.

The compilation concludes with a stellar electro track from Italian producer and label regular Golden Virgo. His track "STRN" is a superbly powerful electro composition that combines a catchy vocal with enticing synths. Golden Virgo proves once again why he is a staple in the electro scene, delivering a track that is sure to be a favorite among fans and new listeners alike.

"What Happened To The Underground?"is a must-listen for anyone passionate about the underground music scene. Each track on this release captures the essence of the label while pushing the boundaries of creativity and production.

Hammer shares his ‘Highland’ EP feat. Lili Chan, blending ethereal vocals with bold, sweeping synths to stunning effect. Released on the HE.SHE.THEY. label, the project showcases their unique synergy and creative spark.
Their partnership was immediate—Hammer, a dynamic presence in the electronic music scene, is known for both his genre-defying DJ sets and his innovative productions, with notable supporters like Gerd Janson, Bicep, and Jamie Jones backing his work.
Lili Chan, who debuted last year with Wabi Sabi on HE.SHE.THEY. Records, has quickly established herself as a rising talent. Her groundbreaking year includes ongoing support from BBC Radio 1’s specialist dance shows, a Guest Mix on 1Xtra, and standout performances at major venues like Drumsheds and Fabric.
For this EP, the pair drew on a sweeping sense of imagination for the title track. “‘Highland’ is about being awestruck by the limitless possibilities of the mind,” they explain. The track features euphoric melodies paired with Lili Chan’s soaring vocals.
On Avalanche, the duo took inspiration from one of the iconic venues on their tour circuit: “We wanted a heads-down club banger, something that would fit perfectly at Fabric.” When they debuted it there, the crowd’s reaction was nothing short of ecstatic.

And what a debut it is: Four really really strong tracks to let all bells ring indeed. »Backing Track« isn't really aptly named as this track isn't for backing - it is for strictly dancing and spacing out on the floor. No prisoners taken here. The Zillas gear down a bit in »Ether Drift Theory« but of course keep the customers satisfied with a dark and solid number. »Mister Wonderful« features some wonderful breakbeats at the beginning until the bass drum and the acid madness takes over. Last but not least we enter the »Portal To Nowhere« - what a tune! Dark wobbling bass lines, spacey synth sounds, lovely claps - all the right ingredients necessary for a fun time at your local club of trust.
Zillas On Acid already made their name as a Philadelphian institution but now they will take over Europe by storm - thus we guarantee.

H.O.S.H, aka Holger Behn, is something of a legend in the German house scene.  An exceptional DJ, prolific producer and crucial part of Hamburg’s hugely influential Diynamic crew, H.O.S.H. has helped shape the contemporary house landscape like few others.  'Ego', his latest 12“ release on Poker Flat Recordings, demonstrates his absolute mastery of the dancefloor, a result of his vast experience behind the decks.

'Don Arp' kicks off this 12" – a mid-tempo 
banger that works as perfectly early-on in a set as it would at a peak-time strobe-n-smoke moment. The vibe is pure heads down funk - from the irresistible groove to the ecstatic cut up vocals – but it’s the filthy, Funktion One-troubling bassline that fully detonates this basement bomb. Don Arp is going to tear up all sorts of dancefloors for a long time to come. 
The dub version of 'Don Arp' puts a new slant on the same growling groove, dispensing most of the vocals and letting the synths bubble and the clattering hats and snares dominate.

Sharing the B side with the dub, comes 'Facebook'. Way more fun than the social network, H.O.S.H drops another heavy-grooving body-mover. Clocking in at 114bpm, the track hints at that slightly deranged part of the night – a pitched down vocal, a neurotic melody and enough grit and attitude to rock any flagging feet.  Poker Flat’s incredible run of recent releases goes on.

Dimitris Pourliotis and Sampson Tsiridis aka Dimi & Sampson is a music duo coming from Greece. Their first meeting in the music field took place in 2012. After that they managed to establish their duo with a great number of appearances. Their music derives from the European tech house and techno style  but in general their sound signature can be characterized by lots of bass combined with rhythmic elements. They always felt the need to develop their own sound. As  djs/producers they enjoy creating techno productions for various projects. They are currently performing at a great number of events mainly in Thessaloniki.

Οι Δημητρής Πουρλιώτης και Σαμψών Τσιρίδης aka Dimi & Sampson είναι ένα μουσικό δίδυμο από την Ελλάδα. Η πρώτη συνάντηση τους στον χώρο της μουσικής έγινε το 2012. Έπειτα κατάφεραν να καθιερώσουν το δίδυμο με μια σειρά εμφανίσεων . Η μουσική τους προέρχεται από το Ευρωπαϊκό tech house και techno ύφος και γενικά η ηχητική τους υπογραφή μπορεί να χαρακτηριστεί από πολλά μπάσα, σε συνδυασμό με ρυθμικά στοιχεία. Πάντα είχαν ως στόχο να αναπτύξουν τον δικό τους ήχο. Ως djs / παραγωγοί απολαμβάνουν να δημιουργούν techno παραγωγές  για διάφορα "project". Πλέον εμφανίζονται σε διάφορα event κυρίως στη Θεσσαλονίκη
