Coming in fresh for the summer season with their third outing on Hive Audio is the Swiss duo named Sous Sol with a follow up to their massive „Taonga EP“. Bringing forth two new original tracks and a remix by Romanian electronic music staple Mihai Popoviciu, their new release the „Dizzy Rhythm EP“, fully lives up the pairings high quality standards and is soon to be heard on a dancefloor near you.

Opening with the title track „Dizzy Rhythm“ Sous Sol are employing a deep, tribalistic vibe for a start,  fusing intricate, complex percussion lines with a seductive TechHouse groove and masterly crafted synth arrangements bringing forth a well balanced amount of mystique and drive ideal for intimate late settings as well as epic moments throughout large scale sunrise sessions.

On a remix tip for „Dizzy Rhythm“ is no-one less than Mihai Popoviciu. The Romanian Techno legend who's left a trail of releases on high quality labels like International Deejay Gigolo, Poker Flat Recordings, Bedrock Records and many more over the years turns towards a more dancefloor focused  approach in his rework, strips things down a little, adds quite a distinct, stoic hi-hat whilst staying true to a certain, dreamlike and well trance inducing feel for an ultimate lift-off.

Finally „Hazy Vision“ sees Sous Sol on a well funky tip, once again bringing forth masterly crafted percussion vibes alongside a classic uplifting pad motif harking back to a mid-90s House vibe accompanied by large scale build-ups and the duos trademark mysticism, all falling into place to channel dancefloor energies towards a huge, and surely inevitable, climax.

UK underground star Denney and the pioneering D.Ramirez collaborate for the second time on Crosstown Rebels to present the mighty Raven, released this October.

The title track Raven opens the release in dominant fashion, with melody and percussion that builds suspense before a compelling bass line takes control. On the B-side Still I Rise complements brilliantly, sampling legendary poet Maya Angelou and fusing her words with another infectious groove.

Following a year which included his mix compilation Global Underground Nubreed 12 entering the Official UK Dance Charts and the single Empire released on Pete Tong’s FFRR gaining support from Radio One DJs, Northern favourite Denney has continued his rise in 2019, with forthcoming music on Stereo Recordings and Saved alongside the launch of his own events in his hometown of Middlesborough.  D.Ramirez needs no introduction, having firmly stamped his mark in Dance Music since the 90’s with 4 Essential New Tunes, 4 UK Top 10 Hits including his massive remix of Bodyrox “Yeah Yeah” which went to Number 1, won an Ivor Novello award and winning him DJ Mag Remixer and Producer of the year.  As well as his recent Toolroom Masterclass series on Youtube having had over 5 million views collectively, proving his near guru status in the studio.

BIOGRAPHY

Dimitri has been passionate about music from a very early age. 
His first releases date from more than 10 years ago and got played by big names like Carl Cox, Mark Broom, Luke Slater and many others. Since then, Dimitri evolved and built up his carreer as an experienced high quality dj and producer.

In 2003 came a first break-through when he released 'Panther ep' on the prestigious and artistically highly appreciated label Music Man. The ep sold well, received many positive reviews and delivered invitations to perform at major European parties like I Love Techno.

More releases followed and Dimitri continued working and producing in his studio on lots of different projects, always with lots of attention to the groove in his work. His productions are getting played worldwide by the biggest dj's who all appreciate this typical groove and the pro-pulsing arrangements as ideal ingredients to make the floor go wild.

In 2008, Dimitri released a new pearl, 'Run and hide'. The track was a first step in a more emotional direction of his productions. Soon after he made remixes for Marc Romboy and Chelonis R jones (Get Physical) on Systematic recording. As well as some very deep emotional remixes he also made more energetic remixes on MBelektronics, Girafe sauvage that Year.

More collaborations with other DJ's, artists and producers take place again in 2009. Dimitri has been working with Marc Romboy in the studio and together they remixed a track from Marc's latest Album, 'The Beat'. A few months after Dimitri released 'Pharaoh'. He produced not only the music, but also a video on this track. As he's also working on tv commercials and on different side-projects, these experiences reflect more and more in his cinematic way of arranging tracks. Due to these experiences, Dimitri now creates a musicvideo on most of his releases. As he finds this a much better and visual way to communicate with his fans. This exceptional visual aspect is very important for Dimitri. It will definitely be something he will work on even more in the future.
