The trio of Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike and Quintino come together for their first release of 2021 on Smash the House records. ‘Back To The Oldskool’ is a combination of their many years, and various influences, following their musical passion, dance music! 

From its Thunderdrome-esque intro to the building ravey bass rumble which is ignited by Hot Streak’s iconic 1983 Body Work sample “Music Makes You Lose Control”, that’s been a prominent feature on every dancefloor imaginable. The track launches into a techno-infused dose of industrial arrangement, with faint hardcore sonics, before combining in the break and then unleashing its total might with a gusty psy-trance bassline to round up the songs trip ‘Back To The OldSkool’.

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike remained ever busy in 2020 with an impressive output of music coming from the Belgian electronic titans. From releasing singles such as ‘The Anthem’ with Timmy Trumpet and ‘Clap Your Hands’ with Fedde Le Grand and W&W, to dropping ‘Get in Trouble’ with Vini Vici. The brother also released a collaboration with Regard titled ‘Say My Name’ which currently sits at 38 million Spotify streams. Dimitri & Mike also teamed up with Mexican singer/influencer Kimberly Loaiza and Belgian producer Azteck for ‘Do It!’. The single received over 50 million TikTok views within 24 hours and has so far received more than 235 million views on the social media platform; leading it to trend in Latin America and the US. From headlining Tomorrowland – Around the World digital festival during the summer and then featuring again for Tomorrowland’s New Year’s Eve digital edition, the brothers did their best to ensure that fans had much to party about during the lockdown period. Even dropping an all-star Christmas album via their label Smash The House.

Fellow collaborator Quintino’s is one of the most prominent faces in the Top100DJs Poll. From dropping his long-awaited debut album, ‘Bright Nights’ at the tail end of 2019, which was met with a wave of fan support earning an impressive 100million+ streams by the summer of 2020. Quintino was also working hard in the studio on new material tracks like ‘Get You Home’ and ‘Out of This World’ feat KiFi on Spinnin’, ‘Ruins’ on Smash The House and his remix of Tiësto and Vintage Culture’s ‘Coffee’ for Musical Freedom. Quintino closed 2020 with a feature on the Smash The House Christmas album.

Electronic music lovers know Dimitri and Mike Thivaios as the monolithic brotherly duo "Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike". The brothers are superstars in the electronic music scene that earned the adoration of crowds around the globe. After a stellar rise in the scene for many years, their monumental single 'The Hum' starring Jean Claude Van Damme and Charlie Sheen in the music video scaled new heights. Netting the #1 spot in their native Belgium, the single went platinum, with the music video receiving over 200 million views online. The brothers repeated their magic touch on the Ne-Yo collaboration 'Higher Place', which spent ten weeks atop the Belgian singles chart and secured the #1 Billboard Dance Chart spot. They claimed the #1 spot again with the release of their Diplo collaboration 'Hey Baby' and then again when 'Selfish' featuring Era Istrefi secured the #1 position on the Billboard Dance Chart. Their summer 2017 single 'Complicated', with David Guetta and Kiiara, became one of the year's biggest hits with over 165 million streams on Spotify and 88 million YouTube views. The duo joined forces with W&W on 'Crowd Control', the sonic representation of their iconic dance move. Their involvement on the All-Star collaboration 'Instagram', which included David Guetta, Afro Bros, Daddy Yankee and Natti Natasha, gifted the scene with one of the biggest songs of the summer in 2019 and which currently sits at more than 280 million streams on Spotify. In 2020 they released this monster hit Do It! together with Kimberly Loaiza and Azteck. The single has received more than 235 million TikTok views and over 80 million total streams.

The launch of their yearly homecoming arena concert in 2013 was another example of their enduring appeal. Nearly a decade later and after 25 sold-out concerts, welcoming more than 500,000 fans, Dimitri and Mike had firmly brought the madness of the biggest annual arena show to Antwerp's Sportpaleis.
