Almost Aint Enough

BLACK SUN RAYS echoes the mental and emotional disintegration of a particle physicist—a “Jumper”—from a crew conducting experiments known as ‘ETERNITY ARRAY’ at a large particle accelerator when the event occurred. Approximately 27 days after The Event, the
physicists and their team developed the ability to “jump” into the Liminal Nether, hoping to traverse its manifold and return— or reunite with loved ones, or some semblance of reconnection.

This cinematic, dark folk, and gothic country inspired track features a haunting duet between Réal Cardinal and Mari Kattman. Together, they evoke and embrace the merging of identities
and memories fractured by the Liminal Nether. Mari Kattman, celebrated for her focused solo work and collaborations with notable artists across the world, as well as her output with Helix, reunites with Comaduster after their acclaimed tracks “Monolith” and “Riverbound” from
DARKER MATTER. Her powerful presence elevates BLACK SUN RAYS to a profound exploration of transformation, loss, and acceptance.
