'Hailing from Saint Petersberg (Russia), the extremely talented Jiminy Hop made his initial appearance on our imprint in early 2021 with his single - "Tension" and soon afterwards followed it up with a milestone 3-tracker EP featuring "Summered", "Contemplation" & "Desire", an ode to the the melody-rich side of progressive house with it's bright tones & ethereal emotions. After garnering wide-spread support, we're thrilled to present our 54th release that features new remixes of the EP by label returnees - Eric Lune, Dimuth K & Anton MAKe.

Returning to the imprint after his debut EP & contribution to our 'Tales of Time' series in 2019 is Melbourne (Australia) based artist - Eric Lune. Ever since, he's been consistently putting out incredible music, most notably on Madloch's 'Sound Avenue' + '3rd Avenue', Guy Mantzur's 'Plattenbank' & the US Goliath 'Proton Music'. Revisiting Jiminy Hop's title track - "Summered", Eric Lune channeled his inner sun-kissed memories & elevated the track into a whole new dimension by bringing in as many euphoric feelings, highlighted by a 90's inspired lead & guitar riff.

A familiar name to the industry, the Sri Lankan born - Dimuth K made huge waves during the past couple of years with his awe-inspiring musicality, highlighted by releases on Nick Warren's 'Hope Recordings', Hernan Cattaneo's 'Sudbeat', Guy Mantzur's 'Plattenbank' & Eran Aviner's 'EDGE'. His initiation to our imprint came in late 2018 with a stellar remix of Ziger's "Razor" and soon followed up with 'Manu' a lovely downtempo track with 'Joel Fernandes' on our 'Tales of Time' series. Now based in Toronto (Canada), Dimuth makes his return to Juicebox Music with a dreamy remix of Jiminy Hop's "Contemplation", aided by a moody bassline, rolling mid-line riff & a hypnotic deep drive that guides oneself into a state of reverie.

Closing the pack is Kazan (Russia) based Anton MAKe, who's regularly found home in Cid Inc & Orsen's 'Replug Records', Mango's 'Mango Alley' & US imprint 'Proton Music', to name a few, with his consistently high quality output. Anton made his introduction to our label with a remix of Michael A's "Endless Time" in late 2018. He returned in 2019 with another remix for Berni Turletti & Matias Chilano's "Alumine" and more recently released his 2-track musical ballad EP - "Alya" & "Midsommar" in late 2020. Fast forward to now, Anton MAKe steps up to remix Jiminy Hop's "Desire", holding the proverbial torch that's been passed on by his fellow countryman. Taking a slightly darker route with a tougher & quirkier groove, Anton switches up the mood while he moulds the memorable melody into his own.'

A Proton Music regular, Tim Penner, has penned a hatful of remarkable works with his inimitable, creative flow, ever-present within them. In March 2017, "Lost Again" was the most recent of these in the Canadian's portfolio, as Proton now returns to the EP with remixes from Brazil and Sri Lanka taking up the mantle.

the Dimuth K remix is founded upon a precision bass groove that strikes out with dominant kick and off-beat snare. Using Penner's original elements to great effect, the central melodic ideas float into listener consciousness almost unnoticed, accompanied by stereo-swept white-noise washes. Glimpses of the "Lost Again" vocal phrasing appear tantalisingly in a dramatic breakdown, before being swept aside by Penner's emotive bass line as rhythm and melody appear once again in the third movement.

On the back of an orignal EP release on Movement Records and a stellar remix of Tim Penner's "Lost Again" on Particles, Dimuth K coughs up a secret weapon here.

The foundation of the track is Dimuth's signature infectious, cosmic groove that he has become notorious for; while a  hypnotic, oriental flare sweeps across a sonic landscape. 
As the main groove gives way for the breakdown, you are transported to an entirely different realm. Dimuth places Sudha's shaman-like vocal chant in the midst of this cinematic experience and provides a truly out of body moment, before bringing you back down full of strong, positive energy.

Supported by the maestro Hernan Cattaneo himself at festivals in Brazil, Amsterdam and Miami to name a few, Dimuth K's rendition of Moola Meditation is a true diamond in the rough.

An appearance on Max Graham’s ‘Cycles’ 8 compilation got the year off to a great start and a recent release on Tash's Movement Recordings was equally excellent. Now stepping up for his Clubsonica debut Dimuth brings variety and depth to the release with a stunning intro version of 'Yes I Do'. Set against a backdrop of wispy atmospheres and cosmic effects it's a slow burning, spine tingling beginning. Broken beats and a warm, foundation house the expertly executed storyboard. A faultless and utterly gorgeous rendition from Dimuth which rounds out a diverse release from Clubsonica Records once again. Highly Recommended.

Partnering with Shannon Davin on "Horus", Dimuth K continues with a strong rhythmic groove on "Horus" as a huge analogue bassline fills the lower frequency range in raw sine wave power. Introducing melodic components in the second movement, delayed chords criss-cross the stereo spectrum in hypnotic glory while a chorus of sixteenth shakers and off-beat hats supply dancefloor urgency in a track that evolves intelligently over its near nine-minute voyage.

Involved in music from an early age, seeing him share the decks with Khen, Guy J and Third Son and music signed to the likes of Balkan Connection, Sudbeat Music and JOOF Recordings, Dimuth K has made a growing name for himself since a 2015 debut. Finding his music supported by the likes of Nick Warren, Marcelo Vasami and Cid Inc., the Colombo resident now opens his Proton Music account with two high-calibre originals. With a high-energy opening of running, grooved bassline and hypnotic driving beat, “Minesweeper” is a full-on aural assault of the highest order. Building in intelligent fashion with ticking shakers and filtered arpeggio, a rich chord progression provides emotion and dynamism. Reaching a crescendo at the mid-point breakdown with white-noise powered effects and risers, the driving rhythm hits its stride in the third movement to impressive effect. The more languid percussive groove and rolling beat of “Beams Aglow” paves the way for a melodic bassline phrase to play its part before textured pads add depth. Delicately delayed keys ripple in sparkling fashion, dancing in sunlit patterns, while a distinct plucked guitar phrase makes its presence felt. Always held in place by the strong club-friendly framework, the track eases into the second half with rhythm and bass in full evidence as melodic elements are reprised once again in the latter stages.
