To me, electronica is a form of deconstruction: sound modulations do not have fixed meanings to be found within confines of a music track, but are irreconcilably mercurial. Particularly so when combined with vocal samples. These 45 minutes of leftfield techno and house –– that I intersect with Judith Butler’s commentary on the (necro)politics of life in today’s liberal democracies –– is a question about the fragility of human life. It’s a reflection on vulnerability, not just ontologically given, but collectively mediated through discriminating exposures to violence that emanates from social and political worlds. The mix, mastered electronically, was recorded live and is unedited.
