Performing Songwriter Magazine called Dina Regine's style 'roots music with a modern twist'. That pretty much sums it up. Over the years, this hat obsessed gal has made a name for herself wearing more than one hat. Musician, photographer, and club/event DJ, are the titles Regine juggles with a fierce passion. Her photographs have been seen in numerous publications/books, record covers, galleries, and she has her work in two museum collections. Her DJ clientele reads like a who’s who in the entertainment and art world. The NY Daily News said “Bring on Dina Regine and the metamorphosis is astounding”. Some highlights include launching the Gugenheim Museum’s ‘First Fridays series, Richard Gere’s ‘Healing the Divide benefit concert at Lincoln Center w/ Phillip Glass, Tom Waits, and His Holiness, The Dalai Lama, and Keith Richards (her hero) surprise 50th birthday bash.  “My life is turbo charged, and the brakes rarely work” says Regine.
     
     While working nights doing telephone surveys, Regine spent most of the time sneaking long distance calls to her buddy, the late Mike Bloomfield (Bob Dylan, Super Session) in California. They were brainstorming the perfect band they planned to form (never materialized),  when she met a co-worker who just signed a deal with Roulette Records and needed backup vocals. Needless to say, it was a learning experience for Regine, and it led to her singing with Jimmy Cliff on his live record, produced by Andrew Loog Oldham (Rolling Stones, Small Faces, Donovan).  Shortly after, Regine went on what was to be her last audition as a backup singer in New Jersey for Bruce Springsteen. It was the ‘Boss’ himself who suggested Dina should start thinking about fronting her own band. She took his advice.
     
     After three bands, (Dina Regine Band, Naked Grape and Swamp Honey), a publishing deal with Warner Brothers in the 80s and Sony Music in the 90's, Regine went solo, and kicked off her new venture opening for Jorma Kaukonen at Irving Plaza. She has since released two homespun CD's, 'Be As It Will' (1999) and 'Blame It On The Moon' (2005), as well as a holiday single (2008) called 'Forever Christmas Eve. "Chock full of lyrical hooks and guitar chops" was what AQUARIAN WEEKLY had to say about her debut CD and Relix Magazine called her "one of the most promising artists I have heard in many a year". Regine teamed up with with co-producer Nik Chinboukas, and began a project that they have fondly called ‘The LIC Sessions at Spin Studios in Long Island City NY.  Regine called in her buddies, a group of stellar musicians while off the road with Rosanne Cash, Little Willies, Bill Frissell, & Levon Helm's Ramble. Together, over 2 years, they brought this dream to life. ‘Right On, Alright’ is available to purchase on iTunes, CD Baby, & Bandcamp, and can be heard on all your favorite streaming services.  Check out 'Gotta Tell You', picked as 'Coolest Song In The World' on the Underground Garage on Sirius Radio, as well as In the TV show Lilyhammer. 'Dial My Number' was chosen by the NFL to kick off TNF last year to over 10 million viewers.
