Angelspit has shared the stage with acts such KMFDM, Skinny Puppy, Frontline Assembly, Front 242, Sisters of Mercy, Nitzer Ebb, Lords Of Acid, Legendary Pink Dots, and many others. The band’s music and performance have been recognized, critically acclaimed and slammed through numerous media outlets.

Love hurts. 

It’s a common and simple truth of which few are unaware and to which few are immune. The melancholic electronic moods of Armor - the new musical collaboration between Rexx Arkana (FGFC820, Bruderschaft) and Brendin Ross (Frontal Boundary) - give voice to the isolation of the aftermath of love. 

Swathed in washes of sweeping synths, Arkana’s vocals undermine a cascade of pulsing beats and bass lines, while Armor’s symbolic and sentimental longing flows with the force of a tidal rush of broken dreams. The band’s dark and minimal wave influences draw from a deep well of shared appreciation for 80s music, a topic over which Arkana broods daily in his “80sObscurities” column for Side-Line Magazine. 

Having started out as a club and radio DJ during that era, Arkana has since gone on to a long career as a DJ, journalist, promoter and musician in the dark electronic scene. His primary band, the militaristic EBM act FGFC820 with Dräcos von Strecker, released their third album “Homeland Insecurity” in 2012 and has performed at festivals around the world. Arkana is also the founder of the communal, charitable “super-group” Bruderschaft, which collects the talents of some of the scene’s finest artists for the benefits of cancer research.

Ross is an audio engineer and producer by trade with nearly fifteen years of experience in the field. As a composer/musician, he heads the dark electro act Frontal Boundary, who electrified fans with their recent performance at Kinetik Festival 5.5. The band has also toured the United States with such acts as God Module and Die Sektor. Armor represents a different side of Ross’ talents; his mournful melodies serving as the underlying backbone of each of the project’s emotionally-laden songs.

The duo is currently in the studio working on their debut album, “When Have I Ever Been Okay?”, scheduled for release in early 2014. In addition to the band’s original tracks, the album will also contain remixes from A Split Second, Mesh, Assemblage 23, Continues, Psyche and some of the top scene names in the musical styles of futurepop, retro wave and synthpop.
