An original member of "Darqueseed" out of Houston, Tx., M.D.A. (which stands for 'Modern Day Antar') went solo and later relocated to the People's Republic of China in 2004.  Starting in the city of Shenzhen and quickly gaining fans, he soon started traveling across the mainland. Performing in clubs and venues large and small he would meet and team up with his partner and future wife DJ Chill-C.  Together they worked across China in the larger club chains including Club 88, Club Phebe, Club Soho and others.  Their reputation soon allowed M.D.A. to record his 1st indie CD entitled, "Modern Day Antar" in 2008. After 4 years he released his 2nd indie CD entitled, "Have Mic, Will Travel" in June of 2012. He is currently working on multiple projects, including his 3rd indie release entitled, "As It Was Written, As It Was Said", a collaboration with local Chinese emcees for the upcoming, "DJ Eff Yu Presents: The Chinese Connection" as well as teaming up with fellow U.S. emcee Mike Medcalf a.k.a. Mike Wind on a yet to be named project.
