We started to compile ‘The Many’ compilation after June 2020, in the wake of horrific world events in May - the murder of George Floyd. 
Our idea was to find worthy things we can do for others. 
Realising that what happened to George and many others transpired in 2020. This has been persisting at the hands of authorities for so many decades and longer, Rodney King, Breonna Taylor, Stephen Lawrence, Mark Duggan. It’s disgusting.

We want to use our privilege and platform, the label, to do some good
100% of revenue from this compilation will be split equally to the following 4 charities:

Levon Vincent - Counter-Intelligence Programs

As sunny days reappear and bright flashes of optimism reverberate around the globe, along comes London based producer Kempston Hardwick with a killer five track garage-house release on Lobster Theremin that is crying out to be played in the park over some beers. 

With a more UK-centred approach than his previous work on SITU Records, Kempston Hardwick has captured the ‘better days are coming’ energy and bottled it into four wicked cuts of subtle grooves and deep wobblers.

The early evening groove of ‘Mowbray Street’ bounces into the frame with its playful melodies and sunny aesthetic; bopping and swaying in the fading sunlight. The oxymoronic patterns of harsh and melodic clash on ‘Channel’ as day turns to night; jackin’ rhythms and repetitive pads that create a real sense of inner-groove. 

Big breaks and carnival flavour are the orders of the day on ‘Provoke Iddy’ as Kempston flexes his versatility, before arriving at ‘Have You Stopped It’ - a wobbling melter that takes the very best of contemporary bassline and blends it with the fun energy of the transatlantic Vancouver and Montreal crews for some proper euphoric screwface moments.

Wrapping things up is the electro-laced 2-step of ‘Apologies to 25’ - a cut of distorted garage beamed from disco robots on a not-so-distant galaxy. Kempston Hardwick’s Mowbray Street EP might be the artist's most complete work yet, and it couldn’t be arriving at a better moment.

"Mowbray Street" drops on Lobster Theremin on Friday 21st May.

We love putting together bits and pieces from all over the world and give new and established artists a plattform. „Enjoy our cuppa“ Vol. 2 is a delicious blend for sure - two new artists, two Quintessentials buddies, four great tracks! Starting off with our man from Helsinki, Saine, and his „love music“ - the title says it all! A track that can be played anywhere anytime. Moving on to another good old friend, Andy Ash. Andy has been around for many years, releasing on labels like Delusions of Grandeur and Stilove4music. „Bread“ has a rough yet smooth bleepy edge and a nice old school flair. The flipside presents two new faces, Jank and Decent Rides. Japanese artist Jank is like one of these hidden gems! He alredy released on City Fly, Boogie Cafe and Mysterious Works and we are delighted to present that suuuuuuper deeeeep track „All be free“! Lost but by no means least are Decent Rides, 2 young lads from Bavaria mixing up different styles in „Low grav“ perfectly. We’re sure you will enjoy your cuppa!

A talented producer with deep Ghanaian roots and UK upbringing, Brendan Hagan Opoku Ware better known as Hagan sits at the intersection of two cultures and has manifested in creating a progressive sound marinated around African polyrhythms and it’s often unsung influence on European club culture.

Having released forward facing riddims on labels such as Enchufada and Future Bounce with remixes for Dengue Dengue Dengue. The South-London based producer marks his debut on Gobstopper Records with Waves filled three heavily percussive club constructions unlocking another dimension to his sound.

On opener ‘Waves’,ambient atmospherics smoothly open up to muted arpeggiated brass and light Rhodes chords which are given further vim by ancestral Dondo percussion and rattling cowbells. A remnant of his recent productions having spent time recording traditional Ghanaian percussionists at the legendary Vivivi Studios in Accra.

Influenced by the O.G. Lil Silva think Night Skanker meets Cheese & Bun, ‘Ultra’ sets pace from the off personifying the infectious Praise and Worship section of Pentecostal Church with a raw kick drum foundation filled with jump up Soca energy to induce...  more
