Nu Groove was one of the pioneering house music labels to ever come out of New York. Originally active between 1988 and 1992, its mark on the scene was to be felt for years to come. The cult label has been lovingly cared for by Defected since 2017, who acquired the catalogue and re-mastered and re-delivered it for a digital world. Now Nu Groove will release new productions for the first time in almost three decades, with NYC pioneer Jovonn the first to release new music on the imprint. Coming in with storming two tracker ‘Random / Get Over It’, this pair of flawlessly executed cuts illustrate Jovonn’s innate production abilities. From the headsy funk of ‘Random’ with its playful synths and jazz-infused horns, to the shift in energy for something wavier and almost otherworldly in ‘Get Over It’ (Soulfrican Soul Bass Dub Mix), Jovonn’s production mastery is that of a true house master.

Koercive steps in to mix the latest offering from the Omnibeats compilation series late August with his ‘Boiling Point’ mix.

British producer Koercive is a relatively new name to most but one that’s shining through with his initial material being released via Supersonic Media. 
The producer is hotly tipped as one to watch his hybrid House/Garage sound. Here we see the budding artist take the reins on the seventh installment
of the Omnibeats series delivering ‘Boiling Point’, a seventeen-track mix.

Across the mix Koercive delves deep into his sonic palette picking a cross-section of old school house from the likes of Kerri Chandler, Robbie Rivera and Mr. Jefferson while showcasing his love for all things Garage via contributions like Zed Bias’ aka Maddslinky’s rework of Mike Delinquent and
Delinquent’s own rework of The Beat Corporation. Amongst this Koercive also shines light on some of the more contemporary driving forces in house such as Celsius, Isaac Christopher and Kiko Navarro.
