A living legend is added to our REC series. Relive the memorable set of Steve Rachmad, the man with numerous aliases, including Sterac, recorded in our Room 01. As you would expect from the Dutch DJ and producer, his performance reflects more than two decades of clubbing and perfecting a sound that is often attributed to his adopted home of Detroit. ﻿

Two hours set of a languid ascension, filled with unsettling yet reassuring tracks all the way through. Add varied influences, some heavy groove, a big pinch of skill, and you get his trademark. There is no doubt why the artist has been performing for so many years, and this recording is further irrefutable evidence.

Chris Liebing has been a driving force in the techno scene for decades, creating a whole genre back in the 90s with hard, fast banging techno and continuing to push the limits of electronic music today 🔊🦾 His infectious energy and friendly demeanor have made him a beloved figure in the industry, and his dedication to elevating other artists has helped the scene flourish 🎧🌐

What makes this mixtape even more special is that it was recorded at the iconic Omen Club, where Liebing also first played with his pure remix label “CLRetry” back in 1998. This rare gem from the 90s might sound a little rough around the edges, since it's made of two tape recordings that were cut together. But that's what makes it all the more authentic and real - a true reflection of the golden era of Techno. 😈

On September 28th, 2012 we had the honor of hosting Truncate a.k.a Audio Injection at one of our favorite little rave caves, 222 Hyde. The idea of the creator series is to host top notch talent with the intention of having them play the whole night, thus creating an intimate atmosphere and allowing them to veer as deep off into their own musical direction as possible. We attempt to embody this transmission, become the source and reach out to new audiences. ﻿We here at DTE find the music we play and the talent we bring to our events just as exotic as alien planets. We hope to cultivate a positive impact here on earth via sound waves and experimentation in unique environments. We are DJs, producers, party people, ravers, gear heads, professionals, weirdos, dancers, bartenders and brewers who find life all the more amusing when the sound system is loud, the drinks are stiff, and the DJ is actually playing what they imagined they would play.
