DTE Podcast 001: U-SRD (Live from Inner Orbit, April 2023)

U-SRD is a DJ/Producer duo from San Francisco, California launched in 2016 by Loammi Rodas, and Fabrizio Uscanga. Coming from distinctly different musical backgrounds, both artists found common ground with a shared love of Techno after many years of DJing. A passion for hardware, and modular synthesis further cemented their journey into production as a duo. Over the last few years they’ve generated a significant following in SF, and in 2018 teamed up as partners with the Konstruct Techno events crew. Early that same year they were picked up by San Francisco/Seattle Techno label, From 0-1 and signed three original tracks, to be featured on their debut EP slated for release early in 2019. Expect a mental and hypnotic approach to their live/DJ performance; already starting to make waves beyond San Francisco.

Eichef is a San Francisco based DJ/producer originally from Mexico City. He explores a wide sonic range, from acid influenced broken beats and mental atmospheres, to heavier minimal techno and electro. In addition to live techno leaning performances, Eichef also DJs regularly as a resident of WERD - the “Sunday Mass” held weekly in SF and is half of the techno duo U-SRD.

NASA defines the signal transmission from space craft to earth as DTE. We attempt to embody this transmission, become the source and reach out to new audiences. ﻿We here at DTE find the music we play and the talent we bring to our events just as exotic as alien planets. We hope to cultivate a positive impact here on earth via sound waves and experimentation in unique environments. We are DJs, producers, party people, ravers, gear heads, professionals, weirdos, dancers, bartenders and brewers who find life all the more amusing when the sound system is loud, the drinks are stiff, and the DJ is actually playing what they imagined they would play.
