Dirk Wiertz is a dj & producer from Amsterdam, combining best of both worlds working in Amsterdams finest recordstore Concerto, making music & collecting records.
After hearing Newcleus’ Computer Age as a kid in the late 80’s he was hooked on electro music at a very young age.
Starting out with a Roland MC303 making electro tracks was all he would do, but soon many more drummachines & synthesizers filled his studio.
Now more inspired by the likes of Drexciya, Anthony Rother and many others he started developing his style and started podcasting monthly mixes with his electro faves.
Lately his track “Texel” was released on LBR records in March this year, delivering a blistering electro cut, followed by his debut EP “Grounded” on Cyberdomain records, released on cassette tape, which gained the support of Dark Science Electro, Jonny Moy and Dave Clarke.

Dirk Wiertz is a Dj & producer from Amsterdam, combining the best of both worlds by working in Amsterdam's iconic record store Concerto, making music & collecting records.

We are honoured to have someone who's really been a bastion for the electro scene and a real inspiration over so many years...we're going proper electroid today so you better be ready to go robotic with DVS NME.

Stoked to host this bubble poppin' and electro shockin' mixtape with one of the masters of the game.

@dvsnme is an Electro music producer/deejay and Post-Punk enthusiast living in Colorado. He runs a daily blog called 'Dark Science Electro' which features news, live sets, guest mixes, upcoming shows, and throwbacks, as well as a weekly podcast that publishes every Friday on Soundcloud. The weekly radio show has aired since 2010 and was previously broadcasted on Illegal Connection Radio, Buenos Aires Sound System, and Intergalactic FM every Friday at 20:00 GMT.

He is also an accomplished and prolific Electro music producer. With production techniques ranging from software to hardware and everything in between, and spanning a multitude of genres, he has been producing music since 2000. He has collaborated with the likes of Franck Kartell, Das Muster, MetaComplex, Koova, Faceless Mind, Komarken Electronics, Deemphasis, and more. EKATA is a London based DJ/Producer + Natural Selection Resident who has become a prominent and well respected artist in the Electro scene.

She has played at the likes of Tresor, Meraki, Fold + HÖR and has a well recieved release on highly esteemed Avoidant, the Electro sub label of Soma records under her belt. 

With 5 more releases planned this year on some of her favourite Electro labels, she's set to flourish further in 2023.

EKATA is self-described as genre and sound obsessive. She has built a reputation as a huge advocate for purist Electro and an artist that orchestrates a dark and warped experience that brings energy to the dancefloor with her meticulous signature style. Her sound best personifies ominous grooves and obvious sci-fi fixations which embody her carefully picked selections.

I first came across X-Truder's mixes four or five years ago when we both appeared on the ELEKTRODOS mix series. I was a fan immediately because of the excellent mixing and tracks election and also his love for mixing vinyl.

Episode 715 of @DarkScienceElectro was published on 5/26/2023. It is a label highlight focused on the legendary label 'Breakin Records'. Established in 1997 by @dmxkrew, this UK imprint has a ton of releases under its belt featuring artists like Mandroid, Cylob, Computor Rockers, Faceless Mind, Cygnus, Bass Junkie and many more. Dark Science Electro presents: Breakin' Records

Dirk Wiertz is a DJ / Producer from the Netherlands, combining the best of both worlds working in Amsterdams finest record store Concerto, whilst making music & collecting records.

In March 2021 his track “Texel” was released on LBR records, followed by his debut EP “Grounded” on Cyber Domain Records which was released on cassette tape, and gained the support of Dark Science Electro, the Ballacid YouTube channel and Dave Clarke.

His debut LP "Locked In Translation" was released in 2022 on DiffuseRealityRecords.
This year "Future Events", a 12 track album saw the light on 8RGR8 records 
and a few months back he got featured on a 10” vinyl record on Intellitronic Bubble with his track “Acid Obsession” feat. Tamara van der Laarse.
