Running through the corridors he began to panic. Why did he always leave everything to the very last minute? The sound of the school bell rang loudly as he weaved quickly between passing groups of giggling girls and boisterous boys. Heaven forbid that he might be late... 

He could already hear the words of his teacher ringing and reverberating. Those words sent the fear of god up his spine as the deadline loomed and time was running out. 

Racing between lockers, quick, through the canteen. Almost there... 

Giuseppe Leonardi is set to release an eclectic assortment of leftfield Pop, Balearic infused House and other oddball synth experiments on Unsure. It follows off the back of appearances on Music From Memory affiliated offshoot Second Circle.

INEX016 takes you on a magical journey through the mellow realm of house music. Veteran Eddie C delivers a disco-infused belter that will make your hips shake. Tilman presents a juicy nu-groove track that transports you back to May 1st, 1992. Making his wax debut, Julius Renner offers a soulful voyage to the peak of the dance floor. Toomy Disco, a newcomer on Inex aswell, delivers a shuffling and groovy bomb, pondering the future of DJs. Ron Brown collaborates on a deep, almost Latin-spiced organ track with moments of melancholy and hope. Lastly, Meeshoo touches our souls with strings and disco excellence.

Pleasant Systems label head Tilman returns to his own stable with the full length „The Spirit Continues“ for ostensible dancefloor pleasure.
Since 2008, the German producer Tilman has been honing his craft in House music through numerous EP’s on various respected labels and here we see him deliver his fourth long player. Taking influence from 80s NYC proto-garage and Nu Groove’s era of deep house Tilman creates a collection of works which encapsulate the essence of his sound and history with House music over the past two decades, embracing a raw yet dreamy aesthetic throughout.
Across the ten tracks Tilman employs sturdy, jacking rhythm sections, ethereal atmospherics, bumpy bass lines, shimmering chord sequences, infectious vocals and enchanting top lines culminating in somatic ecstasy.

Following well-regarded outings on Phonica Records and Wolf Music, and a superb "Many Shades Of House" compilation released this year, Lausanne-based Lea Lisa joins Smallville Records this June with ‘Poem For The Lost Souls’, accompanied by remixes from Kuniyuki and Session Victim as a special Double-12“ package.

For these tracks, Lea Lisa has worked with several musicians in the studio to transform the warmth and organic feel of real instruments into her musical universe. The original mix of ‘Poem For The Lost Souls’ leads, a jazzy house journey that ebbs and flows through fluttering flute melodies, ethereal chords, wandering piano and funk-infused bass grooves running atop organic percussion and disco tinged drums. On the B Side, the ‘Broken Mix’ follows, as the name would suggest, rhythmically shifting focus towards off-kilter drum breaks alongside the other melodies and again - all the ingredients that make a classic house track.

Opening the C-side on record 2, acclaimed Japanese artist and Mule Musiq regular Kuniyuki steps up to rework ‘Poem For The Lost Souls’, in typical fashion the Sapporo born producer extracts the core grooves from the original and shapes it into something uniquely his own, laden with warmth, soul and dynamics. The duo Session Victim then round out the release on Side D with their interpretation, fusing together the original synth melodies with their own amalgamation of intricately intertwined keys and atmospherics, underpinned by a shuffled rhythm section and bouncy low-end drive.

It’s coming with a gatefold cover-artwork by Stefan Marx for a cherry-blossom glimpse of Yoyogi Park in Tokyo.

“'In Pursuit of Pleasure' is a curation of music comprised of trans, non-binary, queer and LGBTQIA+ allies in the music community with an emphasis based around collaboration and community – featuring the more leftfield side of electronic and experimental music.

Of the proceeds, there will be a donation to the LGBTQIA+ charity ‘Rainbow Migration’ - a charity for those who seek asylum due to their sexual orientation where their welfare maybe at risk.
