Needwant favourites, Fete return with Balearic dreamer, ‘Land’ which comes equipped with an ambient mix and a remix from Joel Hood & Channel Swimmer. 

Fete, who are the sunshine production duo of Sean Brosnan and Julian Peck, have delivered a scattering of releases on London's Needwant include ‘The Islands’, 'Don't Argue' and 'Leaving Home’, now return with another beautiful piece of electronica with ‘Land' 

Rich with warmth synths, euphoric strings, and a groove-inducing bassline, ‘Land’ is the recipe for the perfect summer soundtrack. A track that gradually progresses, easing in the instrumentation before releasing its blissful mid-point crescendo. 

Swapping sunset euphoria for sunrise swaying, the ambient mix offers a beatless alternative to the original, allowing the emotion of the strings and synths to sing.

Recognisable faces in Balearic circles, Joel Hood & Channel Swimmer’s remix also uses progression to build tension. The mix incorporates the track’s synths and strings, whilst their interpretation veers into disco territory with a chunkier bassline, retro pads, and a subtle injection of vocals.

Needwant Records pioneer the sounds of tomorrow, developing exciting artists in the world of electronic music including recent additions such as Lau.ra, Kiwi, and Meg Ward. Fete's latest single on the label is set to ignite the summer soiree's in 2021 and beyond.

Four excellent reinterpretations of Benjamin Fröhlich's Dance Imperative "Do You Wanna Dance?" by Belfast's rising star Jordan Nocturne (who comes correct with two version), Barcelona's finest Baldo, who turned dancefloors upside down this summer with his Hit "Ride The Night" and Rosa Red, who just released her stunning debut EP on Permanent Vacation. Four variations of one track, that will serve their purpose during different parts of the night.

In the digital age, the compilation has lost much of it’s former glory. Not too long ago it was an indespensable format for the music-lover. Was it brilliantly compiled and telling a special story, the compilation was a significant gain as a particularly successful artist album. 

In recent times, the compilation has been cheapened with generic ’Ibiza’ and ’Miami’ labelling as the genre compilation all but dissapeared from the scene. 

This brought DJ T. to an idea, to create an homage to this nearly extinct format. As vol. 1 of the project is supposed to be a highly visible counterpoint to the ubiquitous, mostly House and Techno-stocked season sets and theme compilations, his choice fell on Disco; one of the oldest species in club music. Disco is currently experiencing a sort of rennaissance, with many young, and until recently, completely unknown artists and labels carrying the heritage on by working with new and contemporary definitions. 

Naturally limited by the selection of works available digitally, DJ T. chose a very personal array of 43 tracks to give the connoisseur an overview of the newest branches in the Disco-tree and to cover as many diverse genres the last three decades have seen. 

As the ’cherry on top’, the compilation contains a handfull of exclusive and unreleased tracks, including two new edits of the old DJ T. classics ’Philly’ &amp; ’Funk On You’. Catz ’N Dogz appear with a remix of ’Dis’, the big hit of his second album. DJ T. also put his hands on one of his favourite classics ’Around The House’, one of the early works of the Hamburg-Disco-King Tensnake. In addition there are two unreleased tracks from the two mexican artists Robbie Akabal &amp; Muan and Damian Uzabiaga.
