2022 has seen Dropset launch an assault of Deadly dancefloor weapons with huge showings on labels such as Cause 4 Concern, Code Smell & Korsakov this year alone. and his latest instalment with us on Dirtbox, to

1/ Imminent Attack
We start off with Dropset’s signature style intro. Heavy haunting pads and synths climbing to an intense percussion segment and finishing with the vocal skit taking you into the ever powerful drop that is relentless in its cause to create dancefloor mayhem.

The second drop intensifies and takes a whole other direction with its halftime beats changing up the momentum of the track before finally releasing the wrath of its final moments mayhem that will be sure to make you want to attack that stage barrier separating you from the Dj.

2/ Dark Tower’
As we come into the second track of the EP. Dark Tower is the track originally that sparked the release to go ahead and you will hear exactly why early into the Intro as we are taking into an anxious filled build up where you are waiting for the drop to come.

Once it does it, The juggernaut is unleashed as the track takes you on a darker than black musical journey throughout without hesitation of giving you a rest.

The second drop is more of a twist as the halftime beats trick you and take you well out of your comfort zone before dropping into the ten ton monster again catching you off guard and dizzying your brain and movement in your body.

We are proud to present, easily the biggest project of the labels history, the biggest project of any label we have been involved in full stop.

The Vibe City project.

22 artists, 21 tracks, 4 singles and 2 huge compilation albums spanning release dates across 2 whole months.

And we are finally here.

This project was put together to not only bring to light new artists we were so excited to try and release with but that we wanted to show the range of the label and destroy any miscommunication that it ran as 1 single Drum & Bass Sound.

Dirtbox covers the whole spectrum of our beautiful music genre we all love and we felt it was time to dedicate some time to the Liquid drum & bass followers and bring them something quite special, and rather epic.

After months of set backs, re-dos and “fuck it” days, The project has finally come to life and has reached the time to get it released to the masses, after 6 months of planning through artists, distributors, press and an amazing set of bespoke artwork.

As you`ll see, the artwork represents what we see as a summer spectacular in Drum & Bass. with that added hint of fun turning each artist into their own specific Miami Vibe character for the project.

A big thankyou to everyone in the background working on this monumental project. It truly is something to be proud of by everyone involved.

We kick off our Autumn release schedule by taking no prisoners. We found a glitch in the Matrix. And through this glitch a portal, that once you play Neurofunk Drum & Bass down it, that 2 futuristic cyber soldiers appear,
brandishing heavy drum & bass artillery and plenty of Prawn cocktail crisps for supplies.

What was even more shocking was that the 2 soldiers were future selves of producers `Cyntax` and `The Fi5th` Cyntax handed me over a dusty USB stick. patted me on the shoulder, before nodding to The Fi5th before jumping back down the portal just before it closed.

It took me a while to decrypt the USB but once I had done this, and had gone through its contents. I knew the future of Drum & Bass was in my hands, quite literally. 

The contents... 2 tracks depicting what Neurofunk Drum & Bass would sound like 10 years from now. 

I decided to show a few people, but was warned harshly that people would just not be ready for this type of cyber connected, audio, neuro-lization of the senses.

So it is without further ado, you have been warned before listening to the latest Dirtbox release at your own peril. This will change the landscape as we know it. 

“Cyntax- Face Pound”

We throw on our 4 inch gloves on this one and get ready to smash your teeth down the back of the throat.

Heavy, violent Neurofunk. Catapulting into the first drop with a relentless grip on your nervous system.

Some may recognise this from multiple sets the past 12-15 months from the likes of Zombie Cats and Jade Its ever recognisable synth work flows tremendously across the track and audio programming is a pure 10/10 leaving you bloodied and battered from the Face Pound.

“Cyntax & The Fi5th- The Machines”

We finish off the release by bringing in extra reinforcements, The exciting sounds of The Fi5th bless this one with techno driving bass and epic synth stabs to disjoin your brain cells in every way possible.

A relentless juggernaut of Neuroscape sounds fill your ears and sends you to a far off place in your mind where you feel the robots have taken over, and this is their soundtrack.

As we embark upon our 6th year in existence, Leaving a huge legacy in our wake and triumphantly smashing through the doors of our 50th release we show no mercy and unleash this beast of an EP from our favourite little Jui-Jitsu Warrior from Portugal. Impex.

His last full EP with us knocked it out the park with 2 tracks getting support from the mighty Noisia on their Vision Radio show.

So as you can imagine we have high hopes on this one following his warm-up back to us with the ever sexy Remix he did of Dropset “Dark Tower” on our 50th release.

Strap in and get ready for a big full on ruckus, some conflict and plenty of confrontation as to why you're not playing this loud enough.

1/ Impex- “The Knot”

Impex opens up the show with what you would expect
from the Portuguese man`O Neuro war.

Horror-esque synths and effects glisten up the drop of this one with an evil skin crawling audio sample. closely followed by Impex’s own Portuguese Techno bee’s swarming across the whole track, taking you on a frenzied, futuristic buzz.

2/ Impex- “Conflict & Confrontation”

Our EP title track is up next and its intentions are not good. In fact they’re down right evil.

Don't let the spiritual chanting trick you into a false sense of calm, as before you know it the pots and pans are out and you are being walloped around the back of the head and front of your knees to
send you into a topsy turvy spin unlike any other.

A homage to 2006 and beyond on this one and a welcome addition to a fantastic EP and follow up from Impex

3/ Impex- “Synth Psycho”

We take things slow as we close out the EP with an unrecognisable sound and sample processed into oblivion
with the classic Impex sound.

A neuro growler and underground favourite unleashed on this beast, A truly innovative sound design using a plethora of distortion and manipulation to bring it to life as Impex destroys yet again with an epic EP of drumatical proportions Impex’s Conflict & Confrontation EP is out April 15th

Starting our 2nd drop of the now infamous Dirtbox Recordings Tape Pack Project, Things are hotting up with our releases from Shayper Titled "Iteration" and The Fi5th titled "Procedure"

V's 5 through to 8 land on this drop from both artists giving us vast coverage of multiple DNB sounds and styles throughout to help us culminate at the end of the year with 2 massive artist albums (We have something special in mind for sure just you wait.

Additionally now all tracks have added names to them for an individualistic look and to give it more noticability.

As we embark onwards of our 5th full year of running at Dirtbox Recordings we embark on, what can only be described as the most intuitive and ballsy project to date.

In this project what you can expect to see is a series of releases spanning 12 months. The first 4 are already out there and both artists will be dropping a single, on the 1st of every month still on our side project to Dirtbox no matter what day that is for the entire year totalling 12 tracks each.

This is first of all to create consistency for these artists on their release schedule, making sure both have monthly music out while also letting the audience know exactly when to expect the next.

The releases are ready to go now with all work within the background completed and waiting for each release to land on stores.

Additionally to this both artists are receiving a much higher cut than a usual label split while additionally we have managed to cut the majority of costs for the release to help push a lot more revenue through to the artist.

Very recently Spotify have decided to not pay for tracks streaming less than 1000 streams per year, in which from then that revenue generated will be spread out to tracks that do.

A very poor situation for producers and labels a like. But to counter this we are working closely with the artists to make sure their accounts on Spotify help to create a better chance to obtain streams through their updated profiles. consistent music released to incur additional playlist consideration.

One thing that has truly pleased us as a label is not only welcoming new talented artists to the label but also working alongside who we consider our peers, some of the artists we grew up listening to in the honeymoon years for us of DNB and our all time favourites too.

Add to this a sprinkling of foreign exchange and being able to  work with talented artists / peers from across the globe and you have a very happy record label indeed.

If you have been living under a rock for the past 10+ years or so then you may not have come across the Puerto Rican born producer situated in the U.S of A.

We are very proud to announce our collaboration as a label and artist with none other than Diode. 

A vast catalogue of work has drenched the DNB world for quite some time now and it was only fitting we brought the artist to the attention of our labels followers as his direction pretty much lines up with ours and our ethos which is truly to cover the entire spectrum of Drum and bass.

We are very proud of this one and excited to collaborate for the future. as we introduce the Interruption EP.

1/ “Don't Interrupt Me”

A true favourite of ours this year and a track that has seen
some heavy exposure through some of the larger artists in DNB.

Starting off in Diodes signature Funk sounds and chords, we are quickly led into a remarkable build of audio sonics that place you on the edge of your seat.

Key changes and whirling rises lend themselves to the robotic voices which take a switch as we drop a Jungle Techno snippet before a nan slapping Neurofunk drop.

This one is relentless as we switch basslines and keys throughout until a crescendo of bass and beats.

2/ “Racing”

Foot on the peddle. Let's go. Vin Diesel would be proud of this one. as we welcome “Racing” into the Dirtbox family.

A slapper of A neurofunk drop with some awesome melodic swishes.

This one is a Virus-esque Chugger of grade A prime classic sounds accompanied by gated synths and up to date bass synthesis. 

An awesome one for the middle of the set at prime time.

3/ “In Silence” 

We close out the EP on a high note. A true one, Piano’s, sweeps and vocals propulse us into an epic percussive lead breakdown, Anthemic and beautiful this one ticks all the boxes.

We cannot believe that it has been a whole year already since the launch of our Vibe City concept.

In 2023 we brought you not 1, but 2 huge liquid Drum and bass  compilations with a heavy focus on the talent of tomorrow alongside some of our permanent fixtures on the label, delving head first into new waters for them and taking themselves way outside of their comfort zone.

And after the massive success of last years compilation we are thrilled to announce Vibe City Volume 3 for 2024 with our biggest original compilation yet with 24 exclusive Liquid Drum and bass inspired tracks from some amazing artists from around the world.

This one has been over six months in the making and yet again we have gone above and beyond to bring new talent to the forefront on the label and give Liquid Drum and bass its just deserves.

And what Vibe City compilation would be complete without customised artwork focusing on some of the best Game inspired look for the masses.

For this year the focus is on the 80’s board game Guess Who? Where we have transformed all our artists into characters from the classic board game.

Kickstarting our 2024 Autumn schedule we bring back one of our most popular series on the label. The one and only Rock N Rollerz.

The aim of this series is to bring the very best of those dutty DNB rollers and amen ridden Jungle tracks to the masses, and that is exactly what we have been doing with Entropy & Skandal dropping the first on the series early in 2024.

Expect these EP’s to come thick and fast right now as we have a plethora of music to drop under this series.

Wasting no time we invite one of the newest, and most talented artists in drum and bass, who is making some serious waves.

We discovered Sam aka APOM on another label `Subdue` recently and knew we had to hit him up to work alongside.

APOM is currently in quite high demand but by the end of summer we managed to nab these two custom made bangers for the series, and we are sure you will not be disappointed.

1/ APOM - “Stank”

With a name like Stank it's very easy to come to the conclusion that this has `Rock n Rollerz` written all over it.

We are not messing about on this one, And neither is Apom, a crunchy backdoor kicker if we ever heard one that will be turning gun fingers into anti tank missile fists.

Some eerie chords mixed in with the Stank vocal and of course simmering Bassline make up a huge portion of this track but its that absolutely stanky stab and rolling drop that makes the track a true contender for biggest banger of the Autumn club period.

2/ APOM - “Amped”

Amped brings a much more techier feel. but with a bunch of naughty synth work and one of the best fight promos ever, from Mike Tyson “I'll eat your children”

A trippy one this, ripping your heart from your chest as this one will make you sway in and out of those dance floor steps you’re planning on taking.

At Dirtbox you know we love a good release series, So why not drop another for old time sake?

But this isn’t just any release series within the confines of the multi faceted drum and bass label.

This particular series has a specific set of skills?!

The land of Russia has brought us an unbetold wealth of talent when it comes to dance music in general, not just drum and bass.

Nina Kravitz, Zedd & Arty to name a few commercial ones. But it's the drum and bass we are interested in, as this is where you will find those cold, hard broken beats from the vast land that is known as the Russian Empire.

The likes of Gydra, Paperclip, Receptor, Rusty K, Teddy Killerz, BOP, Gancher & Ruin, Enei, Tobax, Despersion, 2Whales and many more of course make up the interesting and somewhat enviable stack of talent that has come out of the country over the years to bless us with what they describe as drum and bass.

But on the horizon is a new wave of talented, musical genius. 
ready to carry the torch from their predecessors and into the next decade. Many of them tutorted by the legendary Paperclip himself. 

One of those is none other than Saint Petersburg native himself
Splatii.

We kick start this tribute of releases to Russian DNB with 3 tracks of dark deep drum and bass flavour from Splatii himself which is heavily rotating currently across the globe in DJs playlists already and once it hits stores will be a must have for anyone with an iota of musical taste.

1/ “Aiko”

A Japanese term meaning love and fortune, This is what describes our kick off to this phenomenal release.

An Echoing Bass Guitar and cyber sounding transitional synth work and effects carry this track in right from the get-go.

Don't get it twisted, There's no love melodies in this one as its deep dark pulsating vibe sets the tone for the rest of the tracks to follow.

2/ “Night Bird”

Keeping the flavour throughout on this one, A nominal sprinkle of early Noisia comes to mind when listening to this, 

As a heavy yet pacy scattering percussion section drops us right
into the layered bass and effects keeping a much eerier tone than the previous track, but still enough dance floor accessibility for those head down moments from the crowd.

3/ “Risha”

A number of meanings can be taken from the term Risha, in some ways it can mean politeness. But this track is not that. Its down right rude and abrupt in its tone, so the meaning of Divine Worship fits the bill on this as we complete the release with a much more euphoric lead that is a massively pleasing start to this run of releases.

On Valentines day 2024 we proudly announce the second instalment of our focus series, `From Russia With Love`, with episode 2, featuring the deep, ferocious and intelligent sounds of up-and-coming drum and bass producer, Higrade.

Set to drop on Valentine’s Day, this release is a celebration of passion, innovation, drums and plenty of bass from the heart of Russia’s thriving DNB scene.

From Russia With Love is a curated series dedicated to spotlighting the freshest talent from
Russia, a region notorious for some of the biggest acts, sounds and events in this specific music genre and seems to always be gaining recognition as a hub for forward-thinking producers within the genre.

Each instalment is a testament to the immense potential and creativity emanating from this
vibrant community. Higrade, known for his intricate production style and undeniable flair, is
poised to take centre stage as one of the scene’s rising stars.

At Dirtbox Recordings, we believe in nurturing new talent and giving them a platform to
shine, with `From Russia With Love` we’re showcasing the future of drum and bass, and
Higrade is the perfect artist to carry the torch in this second chapter.

1/ “Higrade- From Da Police”

Our first track starts off as a dark, rolling deep dive into modern drum and bass.

A nostalgic reggae vocal sample takes us to the drop, setting a politically charged and
rebellious tone that feels deeply relevant. offering a stark contrast to the futuristic sonic
landscape that unfolds.

As the track progresses, it reveals its true essence as a "heads-down" roller, designed for
dimly lit clubs and laser-streaked dancefloors. The bassline is undoubtedly the star here—gritty, textured, and full of character, it growls and grumbles with a ferocity reminiscent
of the signature sound cultivated by Noisia's now-defunct label, Invisible Recordings.

2/ “Higrade- Basics Of Love”

Our second track leads the title of the series and the theme of this release as it captures an
eerie and immersive atmosphere, opening with echoing alarm-like sounds that cascade into
warped, twisted cello tones.

As the layers evolve, the mood shifts into a more upbeat groove, while maintaining the
signature deep undertones of a rolling drum and bass track.

Multiple bassline changes weave seamlessly throughout, adding variety and keeping the
listener on their toes. All the while additional Vocal samples punctuate across the 4 minute
run mark, adding texture and personality without overwhelming the track’s minimalist foundation.

3/ “Higrade- 23 Children”

The final track, 23 Children, stands as a bold statement in modern drum and bass. Featuring
Rastafarian vocals layered over deep bass sounds and technical drum patterns, the track masterfully bridges the gap between the raw, experimental energy of 1995 and the polished production of 2025. This unexpected fusion delivers a fresh perspective, defying genre norms and offering a strikingly different soundscape from what one might expect of a Russian artist in the drum and bass scene.

1/ Kung “Self-Fight”

kickstarting the release is a masterclass in dark, rolling drum & bass, embodying Kungs
signature eerie sound design and deep, grumbling basslines. Unlike many of his previous
works, this track opens with a surprisingly uplifting yet haunting intro—an unexpected
contrast that sets the stage for the darkness to come.

As the drop hits, "Self-Fight" transforms into a relentless force, exuding the unmistakable
energy of classic Renegade Hardware releases while still maintaining Kung’s modern,
polished production techniques. The bass growls and warps beneath some heavily
processed percussion, creating a hypnotic groove that’s tailor-made for murky underground
dancefloors.

2/ Kung “Poise”

"Poise" kicks off with a techno-infused intro that immediately brings to mind the classic
sounds of Raiden and Offkey Records.

The pulsating rhythm and ominous atmosphere set the stage for something dark and
brooding, but as the track unfolds, Kung’s signature style takes the reins.

The transition is seamless—grumbling, distorted basslines creep in, punctuated by
noticeable sound effects that inject energy into the track. The production maintains a

We are very proud to unveil one of the most prolific remix packages to date on Dirtbox, featuring two fresh takes on chart-dominating tracks from Birmingham-based producer Kusha.

Kusha, known for his signature club anthem style of UK Garage and Drum and Bass has had  music that has been a staple in DJ sets worldwide and now, two of his biggest records receive blissful reimaginings from some of the scene’s most exciting talents.

The first, “Be Free”, originally released in 2022 on UK Garage label R U SRS?, made an instant impact, soaring to the #1 spot on the Beatport UK Garage charts for two consecutive weeks, while also securing #1 on Juno for a full week.

With support from heavyweights like DJ EZ, Martin Liberty Larner, DJ Q, and more, “Be Free”
became an essential selection for high class talent across the scene.

And now, Shayper (Know for releases on Ram Records, Dirtbox, GTA and more)—fresh off his
groundbreaking Tape Pack Series and the release of his debut album Iteration earlier this year on Dirtbox Recordings—steps up to deliver a powerful, junglist style remix that’s set to absolutely destroy dancefloors.

As if that wasn’t enough, Ram Records duo Syran, bring their signature touch to “Come Back to Me”, a track that marked Kusha’s drum and bass debut on Dirtbox Recordings in 2023.

The original (A huge commercial DnB anthem) peaked at #4 on the Beatport DnB Hype charts and earned the coveted Track of the Week spot on BBC Radio 1 West Midlands, where it received daily airplay throughout the month of July in 2023 on the show.

was just a baby. Fast forward to today, and the two have come together to form a powerful bond through their shared passion for drum and bass, producing music as a dynamic duo.

Each member of Canis X Sirius brings something unique to the table, with Andy and Brad
taking on distinct roles in the creative process.

Their collaborative efforts have already set them on an exciting trajectory, and they are now
ready to unleash their music to the world. Their debut on Dirtbox in 2024 with the highly anticipated Vibe City Liquid project was the catalyst to set things off, as now the duo is set to
