A note from Seppa:

"When I was asked by the lovely people at The Rust to put together a mix for their Featherbed series I jumped at the opportunity to play a lot of the more mellow music I make to a receptive audience! I do play some of these tracks in club/festival sets, but it’s rare to get the opportunity for an hour-long deep dive. I decided to call it Modal Relays as it feels very much like the tracks are keeping the energy flowing whilst skipping through a variety of different keys and flavours. b1n4ry did an amazing job capturing the feel of the mix with the visuals, and hopefully (now it’s online permanently) this will bring people good vibes for years to come :) Maybe I’ll release the IDs properly someday!"

This 40+ minute mix is heavily inspired by my most recent trip to the East coast for Submersion Music Festival seeing incredibly forward-thinking electronic music producers on incredible sound systems

It's a mix you can throw some ass or hands to, with equal parts groove and ferocity. I caught a wave with this one and hope you like it as much as I do 

The Cruise Control series highlights some of my favorite sounds as an homage to the countless days I've spent behind the wheel cruising around the country cranking chunes as I go.

Wildwood / APOG 2024

At APOG 2021, my partner Skye and I were camped in the back of the tea tent we brought, we talked about what  it would look like to make a decompression space that was also a stage. Wildwood was a dream of both of ours for a space and vibe we felt lacking in the excitement of most festivals. Somewhere you could take a load off without retiring for the night or feeling removed from the experience. Over the past 3 years I've dove into curating that sound.  It is an exciting and unique vibe to curate, chill but energetic, calming but not sleepy, groovy and powerful but not overwhelming. All the music curated for this set was with the intention of supporting the energy we wanted Wildwood to hold for the community, as Skye put it "music you fall in love to". Hope you enjoy =)

Much love to my De Wanna Wanga fam for absolutely smashing their stage this year and keeping it running to the early morning.

The intricacies of this space are not missed by me... what you don't get as an attendee is all the fun little gems hidden in the booth. So much love and care was put into the De Wanna Wanga stage for every one involved, attendee, stage crew and djs. They thought of it all.

Wanting to "Do it for Wanga" it was important to start hot and heavy for dem. I covered the full spectrum of music heard throughout the weekend in all spaces. A final tasting of all the sounds we love wrapped up nicely and I kept the sleepy time music for very last. We got every last bit out of this weekend as the sun rose up through those trees in a breathtaking way.
Thank you to those that stayed up all night to rock it out, woke up early to join for this session in the morning or fought their hardest and listed to their bodies and got rest.

I was surprised to see halfway through my set the recorder running, we'll call it a happy little accident. Thanks Hannah and Sean for setting that up earlier in the night and letting it roll through.

My hope is this hour of music will transport you back to the dancefloor if even for a brief moment where we shared laughs, smirks, some unmentionables and even tears.
