Good day and welcome to Chuurch. 

By this time you may have heard a thing or two about the Calgary based duo, for instance, their Perfect Driver Podcast which was comprised 100% of their original material rated #1 on our list shortly after release. If you're not familiar, meet them now and know that they have us very excited with their official debut EP, aptly titled, Chuurch. I. 

Introduced to the guys via Flinch, I was given a large download package of unreleased original music. I opened it and was blown away by the quality and sheer quantity of tunes at my fingertips. Speaking with them on the phone a few days later I was equally pleased with their drive and attention to detail concerning the project. We both agreed to do something big together. Here it is!

The 5 track selection lead by 'Let Me See Them Wrists' explores a wide gamut of house and bass music showcasing production versatility and floor-knowledge. You'll find something here that fits the club and festivals alike. 

Remaining mysterious and somewhat dark, one thing is sure. They know how to produce good records, and from my experience are loyal, humble dudes. Who could ask for anything more. Stay tuned for more Chuurch and tweet us if you're playing the tracks!

Ardalan’s ‘Mr. Good’ LP offers an emotional look into the heart and mind of a young artist. It’s a coming of age tale that tracks Ardalan as he figures out his sound and creative identity. 

The story unfolds across eleven tracks documenting Ardalan’s search for analog perfection.  The intricate sound design comes from a collection of hardware Ardalan has built over the years. There are no generic basslines or sample packs involved.  Ardalan reaches all the way back to early 2000s while updating the sound with modern mixdowns and clever production tricks. The album is weird yet danceable, classic yet futuristic.  

After watching Ardalan develop his sound and musical career over the years, we're proud to see him turn in this forward-thinking record that pushes his sound to the future.

You know Dirtybird for dropping basslines and creating smiles on the dance floor since January 2005.

The fun family vibe of the Dirtybird label can be traced back to a free event started in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. This new kind of house music went against the smooth vocal house that was popular at the time and derived its influences mostly from hip-hop, drum n bass, and American funk. The free outdoor BBQ party was very rough around the edges but eventually became legendary amongst the people of San Francisco. This event was also a very influential factor in the decision by Claude VonStroke to start the record label in 2005.

Today, Dirtybird has offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles and has expanded into events and tour production. As it grows, the brand continues to expand beyond music into merchandise, licensing and artist management. In 2015, Dirtybird launched the inaugural Dirtybird Campout festival, which has been dubbed “Summer Camp For Adults”, and Dirtybird has been recognized from their achievements by being awarded "Underground Label of the Year" at the International Dance Music Awards, “Label of the Decade” by Mixmag, “Best North American Label” by DJ Mag, and Billboard’s "Top 5 Independent Dance Labels".
