How often do we hear from the outsider’s perspective? For Gia Ford, those
figures on the fringes of society are by far the most fascinating. Her songs tell the stories of the downtrodden to the downright dangerous. And through them, we begin to hear familiar, uncomfortable truths about ourselves.
 
Taking influence from artists including Fleetwood Mac, Nick Cave, and Radiohead, Gia has taken time to cultivate her distinctive sound and aesthetic, having started out making covers of The Cure and David Gray and dreaming up future songs while working in cafés. Her stunning debut album, Transparent Things, was produced by Tony Berg (Boygenius, Phoebe Bridgers) and co-written with Liam Howe (Adele, Lana Del Rey, MARINA), each track depicts a different character who is outcast.
