This was a piece that sprouted from the idea of a snare duet involving splits of rolls and sixteenth notes coupled with polyrhythmic thematic material and the extended technique of stomping while playing. It began as a piece for my webcomic and still holds the name from it, but has grown into its own entity and will exist both within and outside of the Flight collection of music. It is incredibly difficult and Dan and Tyler killed it. I hope you enjoy!

Kinga for 2 snare drums [3/31/15]

The live performance of my piece "Expansion! An Innocent Exploration" which was completed in 2013 and performed in June of 2013. It was one of the winners of the Tennessee Valley Music Festival's Young Composer's Forum, and it was recorded by the TVMF Orchestra (Both Faculty and student performers).

The piece was written as a way for me to explore the orchestra and EXPAND my experience with it. As I wrote it the material began to remind me of a little kid very excitedly telling a story, like a huge "ADVENTURE!" of exploring uncharted land and over exaggerating every detail and making it sound like a fantasy story. And thus "Expansion" was born.

This piece is a fun piece for Sax Quartet that I finished in September 2015. It started as only the last 2 and a half minutes, and was written for a class I was taking. I added the beginning to give the piece more growth, form and to develop the ideas present in the original more.
