House was created by queer Black people. DJing was invented by Black people (as was most of the music we consume and give Whites credit for). As a queer White person, I am beyond grateful for these arts: the music, dance and culture. These tracks have brought me profound healing and joy. The ability to step into these artforms and get hands-on with this music is an immense privilege and honor. I am a guest here.

Unlearning White privilege is a life-long commitment. Protest if you can. VOTE. Make those phone calls and write those emails. Have difficult conversations with friends and family. Rest; do it again.
