Disco Deviance Pulse Radio Show 19 - Late Nite Tuff Guy Mix

Keith O’Hanlon was a genuine lover of music, a great friend to all and generally one of the best guys you could meet. He always had time for people and he always had an opinion to share. Sometimes he wasn’t cheeky. 

We only played with Keith a few times on his excellent boat parties and club nights in Galway which he did as part of the legendary The Disconauts, but it was always the best of fun and a trip from the airport in Keith’s car with his gear stick chewed to pieces by his faithful hound was never anything but the best entertainment as he gave you the lowdown on pretty much everything.

Tragically Keith recently left us. 

It has been a massive shock to so many and the outpouring of love and thanks from people all around the world as well as locally was deeply touching. 

The effects were of course felt most hard by those closest and dearest to him. The Irish DJ scene of which Keith was a major part for decades is an example to all as it embodies a sense of sharing and long term friendship which is sadly lacking in some places. Everyone was totally devastated.

But as the tributes to Keith poured in from around the world it was obvious just how many people Keith had touched with his personality and how many people had shared the good times and special moments with him because of his passion for music.

Recently a number of his closest friends Padraic O’Connor and Martin and Daz from Get Down Edits shared a night together in one of Keith’s favourite haunts The Bluenote in Galway. All extremely fine DJs it was a very special occasion and again another touching tribute to the special guy Keith was. The night was recorded and we are proud and honoured to share it here where Keith deserves to be and for you all to celebrate the life of one of the good guys, a very great DJ and a friend.

We want to thank you Keith for all you did for so many and for music.

RIP.
